it's gonna piss me off when this film crowns the box office with 15 million or so, with a stark dropoff, but not before it hits its budget, giving it reason to make another stupid sequel.

at least i can somewhat admire Saw. though it was a steaming pile of shit, it atleast had an idea. i guess that's why so many people liked it.

There were a few jump scenes but that's it....I just walked out thinking it was the most disturbing thing I had ever seen;...even more disturbing than Hostile.

i agree. i saw it tonight, i didnt think it was to "scary" but just rediculously gruesome. i didn't see hostile, but if this is in the same range as it, i'll keep on giving it a pass.

I thought this movie absolutely kicked ass, I've never wanted someone to win more in my entire life nor people to die. It was an incredibly primal experience, I thought it was brilliant and definitely one of my top 5 horror films of all time, if only because it's too early to outright call it my favorite. Yes it was gruesome, but it was a survival movie. It just felt incredible to watch it.

Honestly though, it's really weird, I can't say it was a "bad" movie. But I could never look anyone in the eye and say "you should see this movie." Actually, I called most of my friends and told them "avoid this movie as you would avoid syphillis."

I mean, I guess if you're really into horror movies or gross shit then this movie is great, but I'm just not into those things in any way, shape or form. I guess, if you liked Saw, you would like this movie.

totally agree. it was the first movie in a while where I found myself somewhat cheering for hero/protagonist and wanting the others to die so badly. took the words out of my mouth by calling it a primal experience. i thought the ending was a bit of a cop-out, but its ability to bring out that primal experience is scary in itself

p.s. - the guy with the extremely messed-up lips and carrying around the spikes looked like gary busey to me

That was the first thing I thought to but its actually Pyro from X-Men. I didn't realize that til the very end. This movie was pretty fucking cool actually, the trailer raid scene is insane and that dog kicked ass haha.
