View Full Version : Scariest Video Game

okay, so Im bored tonight because Earl/Office isnt new tonight

so I figured this would be a good topic for a poll, assuming everyone else is probably going to be bored too

poll is simple, vote for the video game franchise that you feel is the scariest

I had to put up the whole franchise because many people think different games in the series are scarier or less scary than others

(i.e. If I put up all the resident evils, all the silent hills, all the etc etc etc there wouldnt be enough poll options)

so without further ado, vote for your favorite scary video game franchise, and post which game of the franchise you thought was the scariest.

i probably voted wrong, but i went with FEAR because it's my favorite game out of those. some parts are pretty scary, but it's moreso intense all the time. i love it.

I got that game, walked around for a while, couldnt figure anything out, got angry at it and threw it out the window.

I can see what was "scary" about it though, it was so quiet, and you were alone in the game. Everywhere you walked, you kept expecting something to happen but it never did, so it was tension filled, yes.

but on the same note, nothing ever happened haha, so thats why I never thought to consider it as a "scariest game ever"

And as far as Eternal Darkness, it was meh, it was scary and weird the first time, but then it just got more annoying than anything.

That's why it was so freaky to me. Dead silent, creepy music, and not another living being in sight. It was just so tense...I'd freak out if somebody made a noise in the house while I played that.

That game does look sweet. Unfortunately I have a Mac so I don't get to play PC games anymore, but that game does look fun. Its a shooter at the same time though right?

I voted Resident Evil.

Yeah, I rented that a few weeks ago, and beat it. It was pretty fun (and scary) game.

Xbox 360 is getting Resident Evil 5 and Dead Rising. Both of which look sweet.

Which is why 360 is still way kickass.

Im honestly suprised it took this long to get a silent hill vote. pyramid head is nightmare worthy

especially the one scene where he kinda just looks at you, and you're shittin yourself because you know hes about to do something, but he doesnt for a while and he just sits there watching you shit yourself savoring your fear :(

Yeah, the silent hill games were great too. The flashlight visuals always make everything look way creepier. I remember I thought the "hell" flashbacks when the level would all of a sudden change were freakier than shit.

Silent hill I can't play in my house alone. Though I can't play Resident Evil 2 either, only because of that fucking thing (guy in the teal suit) that pops out and fucking smashes through the walls and and the music changes all crazy. Also because of those fucking birds, and lickers.

dude, "friday the 13th" for the NES was probably the scariest game I ever played. granted I was like 8 when I was playing it, but it even scared me when I played it in the middle of the day, and just thinking about it now gives me a bit of the chills...
