Insomnia, and technically Kirbs, Batman Begins was an original story, somewhat adapating from Batman: Year One, but a wholly original Batman experience, although I figure you are actually referring to the originality taken away by the fact it's an extremely well known character. With that said, love Memento, love Batman Begins, but the comic nerd in me is more powerful than the pseudo noir nerd, so I go with Batman Begins.

Ridiculously easy choice. Batman Begins was awesome, but had some HUGE flaws in it, and giant gaping holes in the plot resolution. I loved the direction, but in the end is was a great movie, but not an outstanding one. Memento is innovative, in depth, and is so incredibly captivating - I can watch that movie over and over and over again and pick up something new every single time.

Memento for sure. A lot of directors could make something like Batman Begins, but Memento is a rare talent.

because it's better, not best, therefore it implies the better of 2 choices, not the best of his entire work.

i thought Memento was a piece of shit. Pretencious. Uses complex storytelling, and juggles real time but ultimately added up to zero. i can't even credit the acting in that film.

Batman Begins was excellent, in that Nolan made a summer blockbuster with brains and heart. it was anything but hollow summer movie fodder. hate bale if you want to, but for those that loved him, this movie was special

his best by far was Insomnia. incredibly layered story with a nice twist on the cop movie genre. the performances were excellent, and Nolan's incredible directing talent was at full force(incredible use iof visual devices). the ending didn't pack quite the punch i was looking for, but it was satisfying nonetheless.

Following was a great movie, I've never seen Insomnia, and as for the poll, I'm going with Batman Begins. The direction was incredible and the colors and everything were flawless. I still love Memento, but I've been a Batman nerd since I was 5.
