(10^5)/20 Appreciation Post

Officially at 5k! Only (heh) took me a year and a half, and there's no way I'll hit 10k before April of next year when the inevitable will happen anyways. Never fully gauged how well liked I am here, but here goes:

These are people I've talked to from time to time on here that really helped me reach this lofty number:

first and foremost -

Hockeyguitar99 (Brad) had to be one of the first people I really "befriended" on here and one of the people I worked alongside at Highbeam (lulz).

Circatbs/BoringUsername/ParamoreRox (Adam) is awesome to talk to, even though he has some questionable music taste (as do I, I'm sure). Everyone here seems/seemed to hate/have hated him, but either way me and him have/had some funny conversation.

More Heart - probably one of the users I get along with the best on the site, although we do disagree about a few key issues, usually involving certain trendy bands that won't corrupt this post. Always has kind words about my reviews, and for that I'm infinitely grateful.

Regards - has similar taste to me and we often agree about certain bands (ex, Hands). Great to talk to and can hold a conversation with a conflicting view unlike many users on this site.

Batmannj - Always cool to talk to, and we seem to agree on many things. Never had a problem crop up with this dude, and he's probably one of my favorite posters on the site.

Handraa for being my dude both on here and in real life.

Timbedinosaur for being another of the earliest posters I'd chat with on here.

Longdistancedrunk for being a grade a badass that happens to like my reviews quite a bit.

Assorted thank you's go to these users that I may not have talked to quite that often but that have made some kind of impression:

Fadedmemories, DaveZeroZero, Venom452 (you just seem like a cool guy to chat with!), Chris Fallon (for putting me in my place at least once when I needed it), chelseaxsmilexD (for showing everyone new to AP how NOT to act), Gregory Robinson, Adrian Villagomez and Cosmonaut Day all for being awesome review editors (no matter how much I may fight them sometimes), Linda Ferreiri (the amazing mail lady), Cheezus, Ryzenfall, Neo Cassady, anyone who loves Grammatics, the now defunct Oceana for bringing me here in the first place, Jason Tate (for creating all this), and anyone that's ever gone to bat for me despite how big or small the battle may have been.

It would have been nice to see them tour behind it a bit. I'm not aware of the circumstancees surrounding their breakup, but if it were financial reasons, I think this record could've helped them quite a bit. I mean, they had some pretty good tours coming up.

eh. I'd say that someone wanted out and they decided they didn't feel like continuing. Their new album didn't have much backing, and I truthfully think they just decided it wasn't worth it.

I remember the blog they posted was very negative of the current metal/hardcore scene knocking all of the bands who saturate their songs with breakdowns and such.

We knew the change would be a bit rocky and our kind of music isn't exactly whats popular right now. A lot of kids would rather listen to songs riddled with breakdowns and over auto-tuned vocals.
