Here are my recs for this week:
Some By Sea (http://www.purevolume.com/somebysea)- This album is so amazing.. and the production is great. Anyone that has listened to this CD will agree. If you like Death Cab for Cutie then you should definitly check these guys out. I know some of you haven't heard of this band.. (I got into them about a month ago)..as far as I know, the band started out as a solo project and kind of evolved into what it is now (violins, chellos, acoustic guitars). The band was even played on the closing credits of The OC.. so hopefully i have convinced you enough to listen to them.
Rock Kills Kid (http://www.myspace.com/rockkillskid)- Another album that is really good. Most people say the song "Paralyzed" is to repetitive but it is my favorite off of their album and I can totally see this owning the radio for a good 3 weeks.
Vaux (http://purevolume.com/vaux)- By now, I am sure all of you have heard their new record. It really sucks that these guys have had such a bad time with their record label.. but whatever, their new album has staying power. I got it in November and still listen to it.
Moneen (http://purevolume.com/vaux)- I am so excited for not only Saves The Day's release, but also Moneen's release. Monnen are so underated on this site. One thing i kind of have a problem with is how Saves The Day's CD is coming out on the same day as Moneen's. I love both bands, but I just hope Saves The Day dosen't take any attention away from this release.
