I think they're at the point where, if Adam did leave, it'd be pretty hard to replace him to say the least. Aside from the guitarist/vocalist spot they have a pretty solid lineup now, and I'm hoping no one else leaves for a while yet.

I'm not really sure what you're saying here. However, I don't associate "sex sells" marketing with Taking Back Sunday or any similar band. I don't think their rising fame has had anything to do with Adam's good looks. I'm sure it's a benefit, but they make good music and that's why people like them.

I'd give the new guy a chance, and perhaps I'd end up liking him (or her?) just as much, or even more, but Adam is just too defining of an aspect to the band. More likely than not, if he left, they'd either break up or try to replace him and just slowly fade out.
