Kind of, mathcore is basically technical hardcore. Cap'n is pretty mathy at times and pretty hardcore at times but for some reason they don't really fit. Glad to see you like 'em though.

In terms of math rock, there's no better than This Town Needs Guns.
However, for Mathcore, I love Heavy Heavy Low Low, though it's tough to find other fans. I totally agree about The Number Twelve Looks Like You, but I've always found them to be more grindcore than mathcore. The Human Abstract is great, and they're all really great, nice guys. Ed Gein is good, and I've heard good things about Fear Before (the March of Flames).
Also, The Fall of Troy (obviously.)

Hope I helped!

Protest the Hero, Between the Buried and Me, The Human Abstract, and The Number 12 Looks Like You are all solid.

I saw Protest and 12 live, great show.

Daughters, their entire discography at this point (excluding "Live At CBGB's, Stupid") is about the length of a normal album.

The bands Battles and Foals are musts! Battles is super tech and driving. Foals is more dancey and math rock. I saw them play together at a Lollapalooza after party last summer and it was one of the best shows I've ever seen... hands down.

My friends in Or So It Goes (www.myspace.com/orsoitgoes) are awesome too. Not super math rock, but great instrumental. Similar to Ghosts and Vodka.
