There is a legend in my dad's family called the "Legend of Little Ronny"

My great - grandma grew up on a farm in michigan and had a younger brother named ronny. When he was 3 he fell down thier stairs, broke his neck and died. My grandma then grew up in the same house and they always said they could see a little boy at the bottom of the basement stairs wearing overalls late at night. they have pictures where the flash is like fuzzy white in the corners and stuff and they claim it is him.

One night after my greatgrandpa had a heart attack, me and my gma stayed over night with greatgrandmaandgrandpa and my grandma swores she saw him. But that could just be because my family is really into that whole ghost thing being funeral directors and all. (i swear thats what i'm going to end up doing)

Before i was even born my grandpa died of a heart attack....anyway my grandma has this storie where one morning she woke up because the bed moved like someone was getting out of it. About a minute later she said she heard the shower come on. she waited a little bit becuase she thought it was just her imagination, but when she did go into the bathroom the floor was wet and the shower was steamy...

this is serious and true.

when i lived in rhode island, we rented out this really old house, i mean really old and creepy.the stairs would creak at night and you would always hear footsteps and such.well one friday night , i got home from a party and it was around 1 or 2 o clock in the moring and i looked up at my bedroom and saw this "girl" shoot past.and im just like what the fuck? she had long black hair and this old looking dress on.and my bedroom was on the first floor and im not blind.i was scared shitless.i rang the doorbell like 10 times and i was crying.my dad asked the previous owner what was the history of that house and turns out their 15 year old daughter was murdered there.

on August 9th 2002, around 10:30 pm eastern time my friend saw something amazing. I invited him to stay at my house over-night in my tent. we had it all set up and i went in the house to get some pillows or something. I came back and he had the tent door zipped open and he was screaming "You will never guess what I just saw!" and I thought he had seen like a racoon or heard a cool song on the radio which we had out there. So I said "what?" and he said he was kneeling on his knees and hands to look at the radio and he felt a slight thump like someone had sat down in the tent. he had an instinct to look over to the other side of the tent. What he saw made him jump back to the corner his second instinct was to get his knife which he coudn't find right then. There, on my sleeping back was a woman on the left and what he could tell was a man about 2 feet to the right on their knees. Dressed in all black like a scuba diving suit without the tanks and goggles. It was a tight black suit with a tight hood. My friend never said a word the whole time. But the woman spoke. (he could tell it was a woman when she spoke, because he couldnt make out distinct features because it was pretty dark) These are my friends exact words to what they said: "Im sorry, we are tourists from the future, we must be in the wrong area." and like that they were gone. And thats when I arrived. Has anyone else had an experience like this? This is a good account of time travel.

That's really messed up....

Anyways I have a little story of my own it was last spring and my sister, and my best friend and I were outside laying on the ground looking at the stars when something caught our eye it was a little light that looked just like a star except it was moving slowly we thought it was maybe just a plane or something but then it started to get brighter and...closer....and suddenly it got really big and bright so we got up and started running looking at the sky as we went and before we knew it....it was gone..so we were a little freaked out but after it disappeared we went back to looking.

i used to live in this old house with property and apparently these buddhist monks said that they saw ghosts in our house... one night my mother was sleeping and woke up in the middle of the night to find something "white, transparent-like figure" floating out of her bedroom. she ended up following it to our garage and then it just apparently disappeared out of nowhere. It might have been a dream but she was really certain she wasnt dreaming.
This other time i thought i saw a ghost mouse running across the hallway and a figure in the corner of my eye.. freaky stuff considering i was like 8 years old at the time.

When I was in high school my friends and I would drive out to locations from Weird Pennsylvania. This one time we drove to these pyramids in Quakertown (supposedly owned by some wacked out cult who are supposed to wear white robes, have outdoor rituals, etc). After driving down some creepy back roads for almost an hour we saw the top of a pyramid and checked it out. It was big and kinda strange, the inside was all marble. Me and my friend both took a picture of each other in front of the biggest pyramid; right after he took a picture of me, he said he heard someone in the woods. We ran back to the car and went back to my house. We uploaded the pictures to my computer and when we zoomed into the background of my picture there was what looked like a man in a white hooded robe with a lantern.

At the time I thought it was so cool/creepy, but I'm sure it was just some light reflection and there's no secret hooded cult.

a couple years ago, when I still lived with my parents, I was sleeping in my room in the basement and I was wide awake then all of a sudden "someone" screamed in my ear really loud. I couldn't fall asleep then.

Also, another night when I was sleeping, I woke up to find my blanket be pulling off my bed and myself. At first I didn't think to much of it until it kept pulling off of me and for some reason. Also I couldn't move so I tried to yell for someone but I couldn't.
I'm pretty sure my parents house is haunted.

My freshman year, a few friends and I were watching the new Amityville Horror in my dorm and the second the movie ended the power to the TV was cut. The remote was on my roommates desk, out of reach from all of us in the room. In this same room on another time my alarm clock went off to the sound of AM radio static, although it was not set to go off, and it was set on a bell sound. Possibly bad electricity in an 80 year old dorm building? Possibly. Freaky as hell? Absolutely.

This happened in my old house, when I was about 5 or 6 years old. I remember laying down in my bed and waking up suddenly because of a loud whisper in my ear from next to my bed. I remember this clearly. The voice was a man's and he said "watch out, it was me". I was really scared and thought up reasons for the voice and who it could have been. I thought that it was my brother playing a prank, but I could hear him in his room playing video games. My parents never spoke English to me as a child, so it wouldn't have been them. Anyway, after a few seconds, I got freaked out and ran downstairs where I found my parents sitting on the couch, watching television.

I have 2 actually,

A few years ago when I was younger and still living with my dad and his lady and her daughter, they (minus my dad) were convinced our house was haunted, I kept telling them you're fucking insane ghosts don't exist. They had all kinds of stories and stuff of things happening to them at night, my dad and I still hell-bent that they were nuts. Fast forward about 4 years (2.5 years ago) I go over for a visit, and we were having a small party in the dead of winter snow on the ground so on so forth and we never used the front door of this house, it was a typical Pittsburgh house with 0912873093875487 steps you had to climb to get to it, so we parked out back and used the back door. Well we were sitting on the couch in the front of the house, and we hear a loud knock on the door and I was like I'll get it (everyone in the house heard this knock, it was THAT loud) and I open the door and nobody was there, no footprints in the fresh snow nothing. I about died, I promptly left.

My fiancée and myself moved in to this wicked sweet apartment in Lawrenceville and all was well. One night he went to bed and I told him I was going to take a shower and come up. I get in and all of a sudden my shower curtain suctions in on me, which happens when the bathroom door is open and I'm like helllooo and look out and hes not there and the door hadn't been opened. I like Sean! Hello! and then I get this SUPER cold draft down my back in my steaming hot shower and I started screaming for Sean and he comes down like WTF IS THE MATTER WITH YOU WOMAN!? and I told him. He though I was insane, so after something very similar happening to him and about 3 other people in our bathroom and random glassware (cups/mugs) and stuff appearing on the counter that wasn't there the night before or just at random I asked the lawyer who worked in the office in my building only to find out some lady had came in to sign her will, and did so had a stroke and died in the office less than 5 minutes after signing. Afterwards we had seen a few silhouettes and I asked the lawyer what the lady looked like, and the she said probably about 5 feet tall heavy set and hunched over. Fitting the shadows I had seen to a T.

I am a firm believer in ghosts now...

I had a experience with a Ouija board that made me believe in all things paranormal. I'm not gonna just type it up though. It's a long ass story. People can PM me if they want.

I did one almost three years ago that scared the shit out of me. I try to stay away from them now. You shouldn't mess with stuff like that. Needless to say, I'm a believer.

A month or so ago a friend and I took a drive to this little beach town in the middle of the night. Walking on the beach, we noticed this little red light or orb moving about over the lake. It could have two kilometers or 200 meters I have no idea. It moved deliberately, would stop and move the opposite direction. Too fast to be a boat, too smooth to be a boat. We tried to affect it's movements by moving ourselves, and it moved with us, would stop when we stopped. Then it went on doing it's own thing for awhile. I went back to my car and out of nowhere a cop pulls up and asks what we're doing. We told him about it and IMMEDIATELY he starts telling us this story about how there's a "tanker" out there and there are some "tests" being done with "gas or something" and then he promtly left in a very non-professional manner.

This light was far too quick to be a tanker, and like I said there's no way it was a boat of any kind.

This just happened yesterday...
My grandma has had cancer for quite a while and she has been on oxygen for about 3 months, but it took a turn for the worse over the past few days. More than seven times yesterday, my grandma's cat unplugged her oxygen machine. The cat had been with my grandma over the past three 3 months and had never tried to unplug the oxygen machine prior to yesterday. The doctor said she would die any day and ended up dying today. It's strange how a cat could know this.

Back in high school, I had a friend who tried to commit suicide by hanging himself but the rope broke and he hit his head onsomething and went into a drugged induced coma/life support. So he was in a coma for a couple days and then one night I had a dream where I saw him back at school. I hugged him and told him not to do that again and he said, "Don't worry, I'm ok now." Next day I go to school, I found out they took him off of life support and he passed away.

Once I saw an opened CD case teeter back and forth without anyone touching it. My friend and I saw it and ran.

Kinda what happened to me. I was at a camp at Sacramento State. I was walking down the hallway looking for my roommate I walked past my dorm room and I thought I heard someone inside. Thought it was my roommate. Unlocked it and went inside. Straight ahead I saw the blinds against the window moving back and forth. That's no big deal, just a breeze or the AC or something. But something made my eyes move across the room. I followed something with my eyes. I couldn't see it or what, but I shifted my eyes and I saw my DJ headphones around my bedpost (where I had left them), but they were being pulled apart and being moved back together. They were making a weird creaking noise that they don't make when I move them. I ran out and grabbed the nearest person. When I went back in they had stopped. That night we discovered the window was open. Nobody we know of opened it. I slept in there that night but didn't sleep well. The last 2 nights I slept in my friends room.

Last month a ghost was messing with me. One night I was sitting there and I heard something sit on the couch a few feet away from me and I could feel something staring at me. At one point it started breathing and making noises so I got scared and went to my moms room. The next day my mom blessed the house and at night instead of being in the living room I was in my room. I heard something near my closet and opened my cell phone and when I did I could see my closet door swinging open. There was no breeze or reason for it to open so I went back to the living room. After that I could feel the ghost but I didnt pay attention to it so it would fuck off.

My sister, though I love her, claims she can see ghosts and talk to spirits. When I was around 14, she took me to Little 5 Points for the first time and I really wanted to go into a record store called Wax n' Facts. We walked up to the door and she turned to me and said "Hey, do you mind if we don't go in here?" to which I replied "Why not?" "I think it would just be best for all of us (she had her son with her)." I just blew it off and when I went to open the door, it stopped halfway and would not budge at all. It wouldn't open and it wouldn't close, it just stayed halfway open and it was as if it had two huge rocks on both sides of it. The employees just stared at me and said "Are you going to open the door or just stand there?" After about a good 45 seconds from when I first tried, it finally opened. After we had left the store, she claimed the reason she didn't want to go in was because she knew the ghost was there and it was also the reason the door wouldn't open. It was some really creepy shit.

One night when I was younger (and I lived in a house previously owned by a family who had their grandmother recently pass) I slept on the couch downstairs. I woke up in the middle of the night and saw what looked like fog at the corner of my eye. I rubbed my eyes and looked again and made out a figure spinning about into the next room. The weird thing was, I felt totally calm the entire time. Looking back on it now I can't figure out why I was so calm, being little and afraid of the dark/monsters/etc.

This was just a really freaky dream I had one night in high school. First off, I always shut and lock the door to my room before I go to sleep. Won't even consider sleeping unless it's shut and locked. Second, the door to my room is an immediate right of the landing at the top of my stairs. Like, as soon as you reach the top step you're basically in my doorway.

So one night I'm having this dream. I'm sitting up in bed and seeing a bunch of weird shit happen in my room. Even weirder, my door is open. I can hear someone walking up the stairs. Someone small, about the size of my little brother at the time, so I thought it was him. They reach the top of the stairs, and it's this little freaky-ass girl. I'm like, who the hell are you? and what do you want? she just turns and faces me. a few silent seconds pass and I feel this overwhelming sense of evil coming from her. she starts grinning and laughing this really really deep, malicious laugh. I shout out "you're a demon!" and right as I say "demon", I wake up.

I wake up sitting upright in my bed, covered in sweat, facing the door. The door is open.

I flipped shit.

Something pretty weird happened to me tonight, and I guess there's a good chance that it was just in my head, but it seemed pretty real.

So, a year ago today this local girl Amy died of cancer. She was really good friends with my sister(same age as me) when they were little kids but they grew apart and I never really knew her too well. I met Amy's sister at a Copeland show about a month before Amy passed away, so we're facebook friends now, and today she posted a picture of this brick memorial for Amy that was done today. It's some nice little quote thing, you know. I looked at the picture of this memorial on facebook, on my desktop PC, this afternoon.

Just a couple of hours ago, around midnight, I'm at a bar with some friends and I take out my iphone to look something funny up, and as soon as I open up safari, the picture of the memorial is on the iphone screen for a split second. and then it's gone.

I don't make stupid shit up....I guess this is something weird that just happened because the image was in my head...but it still kinda freaked me out.

In all seriousness though, at my mom's old house i'd always see shadows in the corner of my eye, if i'd look at it directly you couldn't see them. Also the lights in the living room would turn on and off by themselves and sometimes we'd hear the upstairs door shut by it'self when no one else was there.. weird shit.

Back in Junior High, I had a couple friends over one night and for some reason, one of them told us the story about how his mom died. And we were video taping this (since we were video taping us the whole day skateboarding) and all of a sudden he stops mid sentence and says he saw a shadow move at the other end of my basement. And my basement is one where no light gets into it unless a car drives by and you can tell when a car drives by. So we got a little freaked out and went upstairs but left the camera on to record any ghost or anything like that. Well we go upstairs for a bit and finally after an hour or so we go get the camera and put it onto the tv to see if we caught anything. We actually caught 2 Orbs floating in my basement. One kept going in and out of my room and the other went up to the camera, stopped and then vanished. And you could tell what was a dust speck and what wasn't.

Lets see what I can remember:

When my mom was pregnant with me, my dad had to work night shifts so she slept alone in her room with the door closed. Always. But one day, she woke up to an open door. Hmmm.
---------
Once when I was in and out of sleep, I saw this little kid putting like a needle into one of my toes. I saw him and told him to stop. I thought it was my younger brother so I just went back to sleep. Turns out it wasn't my brother at all. Apparently, the block housing behind the house where this happened had shady people practicing black magic, and this creature is the kind which those who practice black magic use to steal money. It is said that this creature is rewarded with blood for the stealing by sucking on human toes or something like that.

Anyway, the needle was never pulled out of my toe. I just left it be and it kinda got into my skin and you could see like a black dot. Until recently that is. That toe of mine is now "dot-free" after 11 years. Like nothing penetrated it. Creepy.
---------
For this one, I don't really know how to interpret it. But it was like I kinda managed to enter this "thing's" head and see what it was seeing. "I" was apparently flying from my living room towards my body on my bed and as I was approaching my body, the view got cut and this real me who was sleeping, felt something went "hahhhhhh" in a breathy voice on my ear. Not making this up.

Indoor Living

Alright, since I've already typed it out for somebody, here comes mine. I swear on the lives of myself and everyone close to me that this is all true:

I go to college in northern Minnesota (Duluth). While there, I met one of my best friends, let's call him Jesse (even though that's his real name). Jesse's brother (Mitch) and roommate (Nick) live about two hours south of where we go to school, in Minneapolis. One weekend, me and Jesse decided to go visit the two of them, because they're both 21 and have some pull in the city, so they could get us into bars. We get down there on Friday afternoon, and they say instead of going out tonight, we're gonna investigate some paranormal stuff at a house their buddy just bought (Apparently, they're huge into ghosts).

So it's like 2 or 3 on Saturday morning, and we head over to this house. Me, Jesse, Mitch, and Nick all head into this guy's basement; crawlspace, rather. Mitch pulls out this ouija board and we all sit on the ground and place our hands on the piece. Nick asks, 'Are there any spirits with us right now?' The board answers, 'Yes.' He asks, 'How many?' It answers, '1.' I ask, 'What's your name?' It answers, 'N A L A.' 'Nala.' We all are extremely creeped out at this point, so we decide to call it quits, because it was working too well. We pack our things up and leave for Mitch & Nick's apartment. It's only beginning, though.

So we leave my friend's brother's friend's house, and go back to my friend's brother's apartment (still following?). At this point, it's about 4:30 in the morning, and Jesse's brother (Mitch, just making sure), has gone to bed. The only three people awake, are me, Jesse, and Mitch's roommate Nick. We decide (bad idea, in hindsight), to get the ouija board back out. We sit at their dining room table, place our hands on the piece, and Nick asks, 'Are there any spirits here with us?' It answers, 'yes.' I ask, 'How many?' It says, '1.' We ask its name, and it says nothing. So we start asking questions about us to see how legitimate all this is. Nick asks, 'How many people using this Ouija board right now live in this apartment?' It answers, '1,' which is correct. I ask, 'Where are me and Jesse from?' It answers, 'Duluth.'

Now we're getting a little freaked out, so we make the questions tougher. Having never met Nick before, me and Jesse took our hands off the piece and had Nick ask it questions about the two of us, because there'd be no way to fake it. I go first, and I have Nick ask the names of my two best high school friends (This is where it gets weird, stay with me). The board answers, 'Mike & Tyler.' Nick's never met them, I never told him anything, but the board got it completely right. Jesse's turn; same question. It answers 'Greg & Dexter.' Totally correct. Nick gets up from the table, me and Jesse sit down, and ask the same question for a third time, about Nick's best friends. 'Walker,' it answers, right, of course. So now we're getting very freaked out. We decide to make the questions a little tougher. We have Nick use the board by himself again, and he asks a complex question about our group of friends in college. 'In Cody & Jesse's group of friends, what's the name of the kid who thinks everyone likes him, but really, nobody can stand him. It answers, 'Tyler Hoge.' Nailed it. There's no pauses between question and answer, no spelling errors, it's too god damn real.

So we take it to the toughest level we know how to, by writing down something on a piece of paper in a different room, and asking the board about that. Jesse goes first, me and Nick are at the table. I say, 'Jesse is in the bathroom writing down a number on a piece of paper. Go in, find out what it is, then come back and tell us.' Something's different this time. There's no immediate answer, as if the spirit itself is going into the bathroom to find out. Another thing to add. Mitch and Nick have two of the most timid dogs I've ever met. When the 'spirit' went into the bathroom, the dogs ran in there and started raising hell so loudly at Jesse. It was unbelievable. AFter a few more seconds, the board answers, '7.' Jesse brings the paper out. 7. We're shaking now. It's my turn. I go in and write a letter down. They ask the question. Same thing; not immediate, the dogs start to attack me. The board answers. 'K.' I bring my paper out. K. 2 for 2. This is getting too real. Nick goes in the bathroom, writing down a letter/number combo. Same thing for a third time. The board answers, 'R4.' Nick reveals, R4.

Finally, we're getting too scared. We ask, 'Who are you?' The board answers, ' N A L A.' Nala. We realize it's the same spirit from before. Nick asks, 'Did you follow us from my friend's house from before?' The board answers, 'Goodbye.'

Last night I went down to my kitchen to watch a snack. I've been watching a lot of horror movies lately, and plus I always get a little paranoid in my kitchen at night for whatever reason. I'm standing there eating a yogurt, and I start feeling weird and tell myself, "there's a little kid watching me." These strange thoughts aren't too unusual (although this one was a lot more spontaneous than usual), because as I said I always get somewhat scared in my kitchen. I looked up, and saw my cat in the other room. She turned her head to the kitchen, and jumped in the air and started freaking out like I've never seen before, moving her head every which way until she ran into a corner and hid behind the couch. I threw the rest of my yogurt in the trash and ran the fuck upstairs, ha.

Years ago, I moved into my sister's old room when she moved away to college. When she heard I was going to be taking over her old room, she started claiming that there was a ghost that would sometimes stand in front of the closet. "I could never see her, but I felt it," she said. I knew my sister was trying to scare me because that's what she liked to do. Well, I wasn't scared although it stayed in my mind. I can't remember if it was the same night or a bit later, but I was sleeping with my cat (not the same cat as the one in the story above) on the bed as well which was normal. In the middle of the night, I woke up to my cat sitting up rigidly toward the end of my bed, staring at the closet. She then jumped off my bed, and ran faster than I had ever seen her run.

Neither of these probably sound at all scary, but eh, it's the most exciting stuff I've got.

Oh god, I would have been crying haha. That's terrifying.

What the fuck? please explain again, this is really, REALLY weird

Dude, that is freaky as shit. We used to use Ouija boards a lot when I was younger, but nothing like that ever happened.

Once, it told us a list of kids that were going to die in a school massacre on a particular day the next school year (it was during the summer). I was like 11, so I skipped school that day even though my name was not on the list. I didn't want to risk it. Obviously, nothing happened

Yeah. Definitely. I feel there is a certain element of self fulfilling prophecy in a lot of the "paranormal" stories that I hear. Like.."I went to bed last night and the door was closed. When I woke up......IT WAS OPEN!"

The only one I have is shortly after my grandpa died, my grandparents neighbor had a dream where, apparently, he told her that he was okay and was happy to be with his mom, who died when he was young. Said neighbor had never even talked to either of my grandparents before, so, there was really no way for her to know about his mom or anything like that.

I don't know if I even really fully believe all that, but that is what my neighbor told my grandma the next day, kinda weirded me out a little.

years ago, a few friends & i decided to try a ouija board at a friend's house. she (whose house it was) refused to join in in case her house became haunted.
anyway, we tried it & nothing happened. so about 4 of us decided we were going to head to the graveyard 5 minutes away to give it a go. my friend, reluctant at trying it in her house obviously was not happy with us going to a graveyard to try it in case anything followed us back to hers
anyway, about four of us left, leaving two or three in the house. the four of course didn't go to the graveyard as our inside friends so thought, but we hid behind a car in the driveway. we could see our inside friends opening the curtiains & checking outside for anything... suspicious. she left a little gap in the curtains, so about 10 minutes after we went outside, we crept up to the window, could see our inside friends and at the right moment, yelled & banged so hard on the window. all we heard were shrieks and shouts and my friend who lived in the house started crying.
obviously by then we were laughing at the fact we scared them that our inside friends heard us. they were not happy (well, one found it hilarious - which is surprising as she is the one who can't watch the exorcist as it's too scary...)
we were locked outside for like an hour before we were allowed back in ):

but for real, i don't know whether you'd count this as anything weird or what.

but, coming on about 3 years ago now, i used to come home from school while the rest of my family was still at work. then i used to get myself ready & go to work myself. anyway, this one day in november, i came home from school as usual and our neighbour's cat - who, i might add, basically lives at my house anyway - was at the back door like every other day. but this time instead of sitting waiting, he was sort of lying there, making some weird noises. i didn't really think anything of it so i went in, leaving the door open for him to follow.
i got ready for work & just as i was about to leave, the cat was really squealing/groaning/meowing. normally, he's really quiet so i was starting to get worried about him. he walked reeeeaaalllyyy slowly over to our patio doors & just, like, collapsed on the mat there, making soft groaning. i was getting late for work so i left a note for my parents saying 'i think the cat might be dying...' (as you do, ey...)
a few hours later i got home from work, my mum opened the door saying she had some bad news. i thought 'oh, shit, the cat did die then', then she told me that our friend had killed himself. not what i was expecting, clearly.
but the next day, the cat was back to normal - no weird noises & no 'collapsing'...
a few weeks later i was talking to my friend about our friend who had killed himself. i said something along the lines of 'that day, the cat was really acting up & being really weird...' & she was like 'no way. freddie (their cat) was being really odd too...' her dad also commented on freddie's behaviour that day.
it's probably really stupid to link the things, but never has the cat nor freddie acted the way they did that day, & i don't know what to believe when it comes to the whole paranormal thing, but it was just too weird to forget. like, i have no idea whether cats have some extra kind of sense for things such as ghosts/spirits or whatever, & i don't know whether this story really made any sense whatsoever either. but to this day, i swear both of the cats could sense something was wrong.

What the fuck? please explain again, this is really, REALLY weird

Lol, how else can I explain it? Everything is said already.

I have a friend who has a cat. She told me that once she got home real late to her cat at the door, but the cat did not greet her in a nice way, like it was really "standoffish" towards her. My friend believed that something must've followed her home and tried to enter her house, as she usually has to walk pass this school that was once a cemetery.

And I'd love to hear more cat/ouija board stories haha

in my old band's practice space we used to have stuff happen in there all the time, included a pretty freaky voice coming through my old amp that we could have sworn was a scream saying "get out" and then right after that a ton of stuff fell off of the far wall

well for cat stories...one night I was petting my cat on the couch and she was being totally normal and rolling around and all of sudden she freaked out, pressed up against the couch and started hissing and growling at me. she was so scared she peed on the couch as well. this isn't something she had ever done before so I figured she saw something I couldn't but she was genuinely scared of me and only me. very strange.

Bought an antique chair and took it home. The next mornoing out of the corner of my eye I see, sitting in the chair, a young boy in a blue suit with knickers, long pulled up socks and black shoes--his arms reached out to me as if saying "help me". It all happened so quick and detailed, freaked me out --I took the chair back that same day.

Nothing too paranormal has happened to me, at least nothing that can't be explained. I don't really believe in ghosts, but I accept the possibility of demons. Reason I don't believe in ghosts is that they supposedly come from your soul, but the soul is just an abstraction of an actual tangible consciousness, which is neurons communicating in the brain. Reason I believe in demons on the other hand, is because though I'm far from a true Christian, I still believe in its core values, the devil, God, and all that.

One night my friend, his sister, and I had ordered a pizza and we were waiting outside for him to get there. Their front yard was huge and had a lot of trees in it, so his sister and I were hiding behind one of the trees while my friend had gone into the garage to get some chairs. While we were hiding we saw someone walking down their long driveway, mind you it was almost midnight by this time, he walked right past us and into the garage area right at the same time as my friend ran right past him, screaming his head off with the chairs in his hand. He wasn't screaming because he saw what we saw though, he was just acting like an idiot, when we told him what we had seen he was completely freaked out, they walked right past each other.. true story.

I lived in Berlin in middle school, and our house was right in front of this train station and tracks which were out of use. The station during WWII had been used by the Nazis to load Jews onto the Cattle cars on the way to concentration point, it was one of the major stops where they put the victims on. And almost every night for four years, I would hear in my house footsteps, the ceiling creaking, etc. It could have been the house settling, which is what my parents always said, but I could distinctly hear footsteps and walking above me. As well there was a one month stretch where I would hear screeching from the attic. I told my parents, they called an exterminator thinking it could be raccoons fighting or ferrets, but he found nothing, nothing ever ate the poison they left nor were there any droppings.

I know its all far fetched, but with the circumstances of where my house was located and the train tracks, I always thought it was haunted.

i don't believe in paranormal things at all but this is weird and happened to me so i'll post it.

i used to date this girl who lived in this huge house out in the middle of nowhere. her parents were out of town and they didn't want her staying out there by herself because they were super old school so i decided i'd stay out there for a week or whatever. my girlfriend at the time had gotten in a fight so i was sleeping in the guest room which was right down the hall from my girlfriend's room. i had this really creepy dream in which my girlfriend and i were being chased by the grotesque shadowy looking figure. it looked like a shadow until you got close to it where it then looked like a roid raged out zombie, all of his skin was rotting and stuff.

so that dude's chasing us and like a total 80s horror movie cliche, nothing we can do would stop it. we finally end up being cornered down a dark alley so i decided that to do something as a distraction so my girlfriend can escape. it fails and the dude attacks me, stabs me a bunch, pulls out my intestines blah blah blah. the weird thing is i don't die in the dream and see all of this happening in graphic detail. i end up waking up super scared so i decide to go downstairs to get a drink of water.

as i open the door, i hear my girlfriend at the time's door open and she bursts out of her room bawling. she was completely inconsolable. we go downstairs and after she calms down, she tells me she had a really bad dream. i asked her what it was and she proceeds to describe the same exact dream i had completely as i had remembered it, even to the part where i get attacked.

she later swears she would see some shadowy figure if she was home alone at night but i think she's making that up because she gets scared way too easily.

I don't have too much or anything that's really scary, but I'll just post what I posted in another thread like this.

Anyways, when I was in 1st or 2nd grade, I was downstairs watching TV by myself in the basement. As a kid, I was always afraid to be down there by myself at night for some reason. So out of the corner of my eye, I see someone turn the corner at the other end of the room and it looked like a woman, so I turned to say something to my mom, but nobody was there. Probably my young mind just playing tricks on me, but whatever.

Also, a few months ago, my grandpa told my mom that he'd been hearing a voice somewhere outside of his house, calling his name and telling him that it's (the voice) is there. He lives alone in the house that him and my grandma owned and lived in for the last part of her life. The weird thing that ties it together or whatever, is that growing up, she would always tell my brother and I ghost stories and stuff like that. She just loved that kind of stuff. I'm not sure if I believe in ghosts and all of that, but she's the kind of person that would come back as one.

My house has had some weird paranormal activity occur. When my house was being renovated, when the builders were pouring the foundation, they discovered a few bones. They didn't think of it as much but when we did a little more research, there's a rumor my house is built on top of an old, Indian burial ground. Besides that, my family and I have had our share of apparitions (the house was a farm house in the early 1900's).

When I went to Gettysburgh one year, I saw a confederate soldier at 1 a.m on the battlefield. Still one of the creepiest sites of my life.

It's probably not paranormal at all:

When I was younger at about 5, I had this weird dream that this witch emerged from the bathroom and started to attack me from my bed: maybe tickling me or scratching me. There was superheroes flashing on the television. She screamed "I CAN SCARE YOU ANYTIME I WANT!". Then, suddenly I woke up but I don't think I did. I watched myself wake up scared and shitting myself (not literally). Then I woke up for real and I suddenly walked into the bathroom and decided to take a sip of Robitussin to hopefully make me go to sleep. Then when I did I threw up. However, the next day it all felt like a weird dream but at the same time it felt real...

Oh well, I was in kindergarten. Probably from me eating too much paste or some shit.

I had a very strange experience at my friend's house last night.

We were hitting a sesh and watching some tv in his garage/rec room. My friend had his phone on the table, not even close to the edge. Out of the corner of my eyes I see the phone get pushed/thrown off the table. My friend even did an experiment to see how the phone would fall if it was nudged off the table from hanging over the edge and we both agreed that it did not fall the same way or make the same amount of sound when hitting the floor.

I have always been extremely skeptical of ghosts but this was extremely strange. My friend had thought he had seen someone out of the corner of his eyes a few weeks ago.

Last year, about a week before christmas, i was sleeping and i woke up for no reason (which i never ever do). It was like 3am and i opened my eyes and looked across the room and saw a hugeee bright yellow orb thing. It made my whole room super bright. Then when i looked closer at it i noticed shoulders and a face looking at me. So i pulled the covers over my head and stayed there for like 30 minutes lol. When i looked again after that, the ghost thing was gone and my room was back to normal lighting. It was really weird. And i told my dad about it the next day and he said the day before he had gone to my grandmas grave to visit it and asked her to keep an eye on his kids. So idk if it was my gramma or not but it was scary shit.

This may not be paranormal, but it was spooky shit. About three years ago, my friend and I thought it would be fun to walk to Blockbuster from her house and rent some movies and whatnot. Apparently, she isn't any good at gauging distance and what she thought would be a 20 minute walk turned into an hour and a half walk. Eventually we give up on trying to find the elusive Blockbuster and turned around. At this point, it's already pitch dark out. So were walking and walking and from behind me, i hear someone whisper "hey" basically in my ear. I ask my friend if she heard it as well and she did. I look behind me to see if anyone is following us and i don't see anyone behind me or across the street. Then a few seconds later, we hear the same person say "hey" again then we hear banging on the rails that line the sidewalk. Almost immediately i grab her hand and we start flying down the street. I've never run so fast in my life. Unfortunately my friend has asthma and had to stop running so she let go of my hand and i just kept on running until i got to her house. In the midst of all this, my cell phone and a fresh pack of cigarettes fall out of my back pockets and i didn't dare stop to pick them up. I feel awful to this day for leaving her behind, but at that point, my fight-or-flight instinct had kicked in. She got home safe so all was well. To this day neither of us have any idea who was following us.

I know its all far fetched, but with the circumstances of where my house was located and the train tracks, I always thought it was haunted.

Right now I'm in my apartment and the space that has the washer and dryer is creaking. It never creaks. It's not stopping either. I've looked around and I can't figure out where the noise is coming from. It's doing it randomly and at different volumes. I went to check it out and I was looking around the space and out of no where a large drop of water hit me in the head. I didn't even think about checking it out for atleast 30 minutes after it started. I started to look around for any wet spots and cant find any trace of any water. It probably wouldn't bother me as much as it is right now but it's bringing back a good memory from when I visited Germany (which is why I quoted you).

So when I was in Germany I stayed at this hotel/bar/house that my Oma's (German for grandma) family has owned for quite a few decades. It's only a bar/house now but that's besides the point. My grandma told us stories about being a young girl and getting on the roof and watching Nazi planes fly over and tanks roll by. If I'm not mistaken there was a pretty big fight during WWI around it too but I wouldn't quote me on that. Anyways, from the moment I walked in that house I could feel something really sad/depressing. It was something that just didn't feel right. The house had an indoor swimming pool (which was the scariest thing ever) and a sauna. We decided to hit the sauna that night because we had nothing else to do and it was pretty chill. We were all sitting in there just talking and all of a sudden a drop of blood landed on my dad's knee. We all freaked out a bit but reasoned that one of us had a bloody nose. We all checked our noses but to no avail. It had seemingly fallen out of no where. We all popped out of the sauna after that and went to sleep. When I woke up I could tell everyone was a bit frantic. Come to find out my Oma had slipped and fell in the shower and broke her arm. After she got back from the Hospital we were ready to leave the house. I was the last one to leave the second floor and I could hear some one in my cousin's room. I could hear the tv changing channels and I heard some one coughing. I shouted, "see you later, ozil." (pretty cool name considering the turkish guy on the German national team). Anyways, there was no response. I definitely said it loud enough to be heard but there was no response. So I went down stairs and I told my Opa (German for grandpa) that I had tried to say good bye but my cousin didn't respond. My opa told me that Ozil wasn't around and had left earlier in the morning. I've talked to my brother and dad and stepmom about that house since and they all had the same feeling of the house/whatever was in it being sad or depressed.

Now this is where it gets even more weird. About 10 years after all of this I was talking to my mom about paranormal stuff and I was telling her this story and I could tell she had something to say. Apparently back when she had visited this bar/hotel she felt like there was something in this house as well but she thought it was really welcoming and happy. She said that she felt like she was supposed to go up to the attic for some reason and so she did. While she was up there she found a crib that had been hidden away for like 40 years. When my mom returned from that trip she found out she was pregnant with my older brother (ew, i just realized that probably means he was 'created' out there). Oh ya, what also makes this strange is my mom said that the attic was absolutely lit up and was brighter than all the other rooms but it wasn't until she left the attic that she realized that there were no lights up there nor were there any windows.

Not paranormal but when the speakers of my computer are left on over night they pick up frequencies which results in me listening to strange voices coming from radios from other countries. Scared me the first time because it got louder/quieter within seconds, I didn't understand the language(s) either which didn't help...freaked me out but I just stayed under my covers and listened to music until I fell asleep again.
Now I just make sure that they are switched off.

my 4yr old niece who was staying with my parents for the weekend, went up to my mom and told her that she saw shadows in the guest room last night and thats why she couldn't sleep. My mom got pretty freaked out because when my sister was younger, she said she saw something very similiar to my mom. So my mom thinks her house is haunted and I wouldn't put it passed her. I've seen and heard some things in that house that freaked me out...

my mom just moved to a house out in the middle of nowhere ohio. my boyfriend and i went to stay out there for a weekend. sometimes my boyfriend talks in his sleep, and it's usually really clear and random. like once he said something about pink socks. anyway, on friday night, he says "he likes to stand in the doorway." i'm used to hearing random things, so i don't really think anything of it. we go to bed on saturday night, and leave the door open a bit like we had the night before. after sleeping for a few hours, i woke up because the door had closed and was rattling. i was scared, so i just kind of hid under the covers, but it rattled for a few minutes, and then it would stop for a few minutes, then rattle again. and i kept trying to tell myself it was just the wind, but it definitely didn't sound like wind. it was strange. my mom doesn't believe us, though.
another thing of interest relating to this story: there's a headstone in the backyard. it's really old, and the writing is no longer legible. but still. creepy.

Hello peeps!

Okay so this happened when I was around 14 and living at my g-ma's house.
Well her house is really really old but I've never heard my grandparents tell me about any strange paranormal happenings.
On this certain night my aunt stayed with us too so it was my grandparents in their room, me in my room, and my aunt in the living room.
I'm an insomniac...always have been...so that night wasn't any different. I was just laying there thinking...pondering about my day and when I'm gonna fall asleep. Also, I always sleep with the cover over my entire body so that includes my face. Well that night was strange because I heard a man whispering in my ear and he sounded sinister...I just lied there frozen...and then I felt the cover being pushed against me as if someone were trying to suffocate me. I freaked the hell out and shot up from the bed and calmed down for a while...tried not to think on it too much and just hurry the hell up and go to sleep. Well the next day my grandmother told us (my aunt and I included) that she felt someone was in her room and trying to suffocate her (I'm pretty sure someone is bound to say "Maybe your grandpa was doing that to her") and my aunt said she felt the same thing...And no she's not the type of person to go along with things and bs stuff just to make things more interesting.
It was just really creepy and eerie to me how all of us (females) had the same thing happen....

Ugh, I'm not the paranormal kinda guy, but these kinds of stories always give me the heebie-jeebies.

I've never really had a paranormal experience, and I'm still on the fence about whether or not I believe in ghosts. Logic tells me it's nonsense, but I find the concept of ghosts so interesting that I kind of want them to exist, even though the thought scares me.

It's not really paranormal, but when I was about 11 I had a dream that a female girl (late teens or early twenties) was under my bed and was grabbing me by my ankle and pulled me under with her. I was clawing to get away but I couldn't. She had long, dark, stringy hair in front of her face and was very pale. The thing that struck me the most was the looks she gave. It was like, this mocking but malicious look. Like she was about to do something evil and that thought amused her. I have never had the dream since, but it scared me so much that now every time I'm alone or it's dark, I'm so paranoid I will see her just sitting or standing there, giving me that look.

Anyway, last year me and my boyfriend went with his grandparents to the coast, and he took a picture of me after I got out of the shower. I remember being annoyed because my hair was all wet and messy and I looked awful, so I glared in the picture. When he showed me the picture, I looked exactly how I pictured the girl to look all these years. It terrified me haha. Not totally outlandish though because my image of the creepy girl is a pretty cliche horror image, and I just happen to have long, dark hair with pale skin.

This is an old thread, but I don't think I posted in it.

My sister lived in an old farmhouse, that was actually the founder of the town's house, for a little bit. When I went to visit her, doors slammed in my face without explanation, drawers opened even though everything was level. Sounds like knocking at the door even though you're in the middle of nowhere happened at night. I heard footsteps and when I was downstairs folding laundry, it sounded like the upstairs bookcase fell over and I went up and nothing was out of place. TV would turn on on its own, change channels even though the remote was on the table. I got locked out of the house by the door with a skeleton key, etc etc.

But, my sister said when she got her labrador retriever, everything stopped.

A story that my mom told me happened to her mom. My grandmother's mother died when she was pretty young, and had a baby sister. So my grandmother was left to take care of the child while her father worked. My grandmother heard footsteps every night that led to the baby's room. She spoke with her priest and he said to lay down ashes in the house so that she would have proof that someone was walking and she wasn't just hearing things. That night she put down the ashes from the fire place and then watched footsteps appear walking right towards her sister's room.

Damn, that's some creepy stuff. Not sure how I'd react to all of that happening honestly. That's awesome though that it stopped with the dog. Just another reason why dogs are awesome. As for that 2nd story, if that's true that is also some really freaky shit.

As for my own personal hauntings and stuff, I don't know. I am the only one who lives in my attic at my house. There is like a middle type room and there is two bedrooms in the attic. Currently, I am the only one who lives upstairs. My brother and his friend live downstairs. Now sometimes at night and stuff I'll hear the floorboard creak and stuff. Kind sounds like someone is trying to walk around quietly. Now the house is pretty damn old, but still I don't know who these noises are coming out of no where. It creeps me out but I kind of just look past it now it's been going on so long.

Posted in older threads and I was very vague earlier in this thread so I will try and remember in some more detail things that I have witnessed.

One of my ex's that I ended up travelling and living with around Europe for a few years had a very "connected" family. When I stayed over at their families place I would hear footsteps downstairs in the hallways where I knew this was impossible because anyone walking downstairs in the AM would trigger an alarm. (they told me this was a common occurance)

Another time I got a worried phone call in the afternoon from the same girl. She was home alone for the week and after the first day when she got back from school their sofa (thing was huge, need 3-4 people to move it more then a few inches) was pushed up against the wall on the far side of their living room...ie a good 4-5 meters away from where it should be.

When I lived with her in Amsterdam, the bathroom lights and taps would frequently switch on and off. At first it was kind of scary, then it because annoying before turning into a gimmick. "oh there it goes again..." and I would just go and turn em off. We both saw the curtains move quite high up off the ground twice where there were no windows open and no wind drafts. I also saw a glass move from one side of the table to another and also seen my cable modem rattle on its side for no specific reason and every time I would focus on it would stop.

Most of the Amsterdam experiences were shared by the girl so people who would say "maybe its in your mind"...well, maybe, but then why did she see the same things...?

Whilst I was living with her in Greece things were not as frequent but when things did happen they were a lot more...um, in your face. I was once grabbed by the shoulder and pulled back almost off my feet by absolutely nothing. I took a naps listening to music, chilling out (siesta, afternoons in Greece are a no go outside) and I would be poked/prodded on my chest-shoulder area. Did not enjoy that much I must say. I also heard voices at night - really surreal voices, speaking a "language" that I couldn't place anywhere (I am a good linguist. Speak 4 languages etc) and they seemed ...pardon the clichée "other worldly".

Also have some stories in relation to 'white witches' but I'll save em for later.

Also have a couple stories in relation to "higher forces" ie; God, but I may not`share those as the last thing I want this thread to turn into is another religious debate.

I haven't experienced anything paranormal ever in my life

I think the closest I have is this:

There is an enchanted creature in the Philippines that we call a "Kapre", a very tall, dark and hair dude that likes to hang out on trees that are very hard to see through and smoke huge cigars or whatever it smokes

so I was walking back home from a convenience store about 2 blocks away from my house at night maybe around 9 or 10 in the evening, when I passed by a large bushy tree like the one I described where this creature lived in supposedly

I walk under it then out of no where these ashes suddenly dropped from the tree, and these were ashes that were still very much burning, so it was fresh, so when that happened I fucking ran as fast as I can to my house without looking back

so far this had been the creepiest thing I have ever experienced in my life

I was so creeped out by it that I whenever I walk around that area again I never pass under the tree even if it's in the day lol

Another weird story that I just remembered.

I grew up in a neighbourhood with about 6-7 huge apartment blocks - there were big play areas for the kids and every summer all the kids in the neighbourhood would hang out and play games/soccer etc together.

There was this carpark under one of the main blocks and you could access it from this entrance outside, ground level, down a spiral staircase to this super dark room with one door you could hardly see that would lead into the garages. Once, the ball got kicked down and the oldest (he was 14-15 at the time, kind of our "leader") ran down confidently to get it. He ran up about 30 seconds later, pale as I have ever seen, eyes white and non descript and without the ball. Needless to say everyone was very confused and kind of bewildered... he swears he saw "something slimey, white and green" - a few minuets later a few other kids grouped together (i went as well out of interest and adventure) and went down and saw nothing. Ball was still not found.

lol, I can't believe I had not thought of this in such a long time. That was probably my first "paranormal" experience, I must have been 7 or 8.

(edit, i think i have photo of the entrance to the stairs at home, i'll try remember to post it tonight)

I've always been really closed off to accepting a ghost experience because I'd always heard that if you're not open to it you won't see it. Well I didn't know this when I was around 11.

So my grandmother's house, the walkway and front entrance were always really creepy for some reason, you know that paranoid feeling you get? Well for some reason my mom wanted to stay there for the night and she was asleep in the front livingroom, which is right next to that entranceway. I was on the other side in another livingroom watching television super late and alone. I kept putting off going to bed because I was too afraid, but it getting later just freaked me out more. So eventually around 4:00 I decide to turn off the tv and run to sleep next to my mom on the bed-couch thing she was on.

Well, I lay down and soon after I hear scratching on the wall on the opposite side of us. My grandma has boxes piled up on that whole side and I kept just thinking like, "mouse, mosquito, beetle", SOMETHING, knowing none of these were ever even spotted there.

So like a minute after this ends I suddenly fucking feel someone standing above my head and kinda behind me, like I've never felt before. I freaked out and closed my eyes and put my head under the covers and just prayed for sleep.

So the next morning I overhear my mom talking to my grandmother in the kitchen and she's like "mom, oh my gosh, I woke up last night around 4:00 and I swear, I didn't look, but there was someone standing right there above us just watching us and I was so scared"

I didn't say anything but I stopped in my tracks like :o

Also I didn't find a way to describe this until I heard a description a few months ago about ghosts at night as "inaudible humming." I know, it sounds so confusing but it hit me that that is the best way to describe what it sounded like when someone was there.

I've had a few experiences.

Was boiling a kettle in the early hours and heard a noise like people talking. Was so convinced I picked my phone up but nope. I wasn't scared... I put it down to my nan who had passed about a year before.

I have a memory of seeing a goblin type creature in my back garden.

Have also heard voices and seen shadows in a friends house.

My Grandma had a house when I was younger and is now owned by my uncle. That place never felt right and wont go in if I can help it... my mother claims to have seen her Grandma and my Grandma and other witnesses claim to have experienced poltergeist activity in the house.

None of this is surprising... my whole family played with Ouija boards.

This is the closest thing I've had to a "paranormal" experience and it's really only cause I can't explain it.

I was walking home from school one day when I saw an Asian lady getting her mail. We were both walking on opposite sides of the culdesac I live on and for some reason I think, "What if she just disappeared right now and turned out to be a ghost?". She didn't, of course. She just walked into her house. So I get home, take a piss and hear the doorbell ring. I go to the door and for some reason I decided to look through the peephole. It turns put to be the same fucking Asian lady, walking away. I'm a little creeped out, give it a few more seconds and go outside to see what she wants/if she's still there. She was gone and I didn't see her down the street. Unless she ran back to her house, I have no explanation as to where she went so quickly or why she came to my door. I've never seen her since and have seen other people at that house, but never her. To this day I still wish I'd answered the door quick enough.

Also, this entire thread creeped me the fuck out.

When I was a kid my grandma told me that a few years earlier her friend died, and later that night when she was trying to sleep, her electronic Simon Says game started lighting up and making the noises as if someone was playing it. It scared me so bad, I never played her game again. Looking back, she probably just wanted me to stop playing the game because it was noisy haha.

In my old apt, there were so many unexplained sounds. Whenever my bf would go outside to smoke at night, I would lay in bed and I would swear that I could hear him come in the front door and go into the bathroom, but when I would ask him later or check the living room, it was never him. One night after I thought I heard it, I sat there in silence trying to hear for another sound, and a bag of stuff loudly fell of the shelf in my closet. The closet doors were closed so I didn't know what it was at the time, and I freaked out. Another time I was home alone playing video games in my room and I heard a loud crash behind me. I refused to look and ran out scared haha. It turned out that the wood panel had broken off the top of the closet, but it was still hanging by a nail. I'm a dork and secretly thought the closet was haunted after those things happened.
