...so goddam difficult? I always feel so awkward and uncomfortable when I have to do it, especially when it comes to the money I need for college. There'd be absolutely no way I'd be at Syracuse for school if I didn't have a ton of support from a family friend, but I always hate having to ask him to pay for this and that.

Well I have no pride, so I'm guessing it's nearly all guilt.

I know exactly what you mean. Especially when I was living in my car for a month. People would offer me food and places to stay but I'd deny them. Especially the day after I got kicked out, my Dad wanted to take me and my friends to a Bears game. I accpeted that because of my friends. My Dad was offering me all this food and drink and I'm thinking in my head "You kicked me out of your house 24 hours ago."

I'll stop myself from rambling too much. I understand what you're talking about.

you got kicked out of your [dads] house and then he offered to take you to a bears game? i dont know the whole story but i would have punched him in the teeth if my dad kicked me out and then wanted to take me to a football game.
