So, i finally got new strings on my guitar. I suck at guitar, I'm a beginner but havent really began yet. Anyone know any good punk songs that would be easy to play for a beginner?

Thanks in advance!:)

"Brain Stew" by Green Day, if you can't play that, like Greg said, you really should quit altogether.

u should learn all your scales, memorize all of your power chords by their key, learn to play in drop d (more freedom on the guitar)

Holy shit, I can play "Brain Stew" on guitar and I'm a drummer. You should quit life if you can't do that.

and actually you shouldnt start with blink, just learn your chords and correct fingering and stuff. then youll be able to play whatever with a bit of practice.

if you learn all the basic stuff first, youll learn other songs alot faster.

try to start off with rufio.... but don't start with van halen the first day though you should be able to play eruption in a week or so (sarcasm). What i did was start off with easy songs by blink like i wanna f* a dog, the grandpa song. Then move one to chord stuff probably powerchord stuff. once you learn your basic chords move to major, then penatonic scales (whee i hate those bastard scales) And uh i've never heard of a c major 11-5 scale... I've been in band and music theory and i think i musta got bored and didn't pay attention.

go learn how to play bar cords and memorize at least the low E and A strings.

after that, learn the penatonic and major scales, and start developing your ear and picking out chord progressions. Go buy a clapton CD and try to figure out the chords in ever song... it ain't hard because it's the same fucking thing every time.. 1, 4, 5 etc.

then start learning Iron Maiden songs. <---- is the best advice you can ever have.
