Jim Kelly!!

Buffalo pride, what what!

Who can beat the K-Gun besides the NY Giants the first time, the KC chiefs the second, and the Dallas Cowboys the other two times?

him and vick are the new breed of qbs.

maybe i would have agreed with that quote afew years ago before he threw 36 int's in the last two years.... i'd say mcnabb and vick are the new breed.... culpepper is a poor man's version of them

it was the WASHINGTON REDSKINS, not the chiefs

Hey, NYG doesn't count, the Mafia paid Norwood to miss that kick. I know they did.

O ya... well I'm an idiot. Washington, not KC. And Scott Norwide fucked that shit up that year. Bastard.

Culpepper is the new breed of QB because he weighs damn near 250 lbs. Most QBs register in just over 200. The trend is that QBs are either getting bigger (Culpepper) or faster (Vick). But for the most part just blacker.

It's Marino, he owns every record of any importance. And while he never won a superbowl, he carried the dolphins. Take Marshall Faulk away from warner (as was the case this year) and he sucked, fuck his thumb, that guy is just an overhyped bum with a pyscho wife. Marino rules all!!!

Exactly. Marino was the man. He had no stars around him. Montana had Jerry Rice. Elway had Shannon Sharpe. Aikman had Emmit Smith. Marino had no one, yet he managed to obtain all of those records. Put Marino with Rice, my god. #13 for life baby

But Marino didnt have Donald Driver or Antonio Freeman to throw to, Marino made the records. Favre has talent on the recieving side of the ball

Joe Montana. because he was a winner, and he had the numbers.

If I had Jerry Rice for my WR, I could have been the best QB ever too

Marino played in Miami. At no point was Marino playing in sub-zero degree temperatures. I think that offfsets the whole talent on the other side of the ball thing. And Donald Driver? Give me something better than that.

well this guy isn't professional yet but, i'm obsessed with him for some reason: Ken Dorsey, Miami Hurricanes.

Driver is the man. And playing in sub zero temps only gives you an advantage, after the first year you get used to it, so actually it plays in favres advantage. tell Favre congrats on blowing Green Bay's first home playoff loss too

next year....who do you think will be good rookie and sophomore QB's? Carson Palmer is a sure fire overhype, I think that Simms will be one hell of a QB. Also Joey Harrington had a hell of a year last year for being a rookie with the shithole team he had. Now they have Steve Marriuchi as head coach, I see good things for Joey

Go Lions yea! Joey Harrington owns. Chris Simms is mad overrated, as is Carson Palmer. Best rookie quarterback though will be Byron Leftwich.

i'm gonna go with Joe Montana, but i think you should have included Steve Young on this list...

I'm an Oregon boy, so I gotta love Joey. First picks are alway over rated. Ryan Leaf, David Carr, and now Palmer. Chris Simms is underrated by far, because no body thinks he can win the big game. This means he will be drafted lower than he should. 10 or 11 pick. Which means he gets put in with a decent team, with decent people around him. Simms will have a huge impact on the NFL by 2005. Leftwich not bad either

word.

im old enough to have watched montana kick serious ass, and im a niner fan bigtime...but young had more pure talent, and his legs made him so unstoppable

if he had those years spent on the bucs and the niners bench as a fulltime starter, his numbers would be amazing..and hes already number 1 in efficiency categories...as well as the number 1 rated passer of all time.

yards are overrated..kerry collins threw for more yards this year than steve young ever did..does that make him a better quarter back? hell no.

as for marino...mark clayton and mark duper were excellent wide receivers, to say he had noone to throw to is bullshit...the only real argument as that he never had a runninggame...but thats only an excuse for him not winning anything..if he had the running game his throwing numbers would be deflated because he wouldnt of had to pass it 100 times a game.

As for todays quarterbacks...Vick is unbelievable and mcnabb is almost as good...mcnair started to play well at the end of last year, and he has a ton of heart...but until these ubertalented black quarterbacks win a superbowl, im always going to be skeptical...it should be soon though, because there are soo many good ones out there.

clayton was good, ill give you that, but duper? my god, call him stone hands.
Vick shouldnt be allowed to play QB, its almost unfair. He is an amazing athelete, but now days there are no true QB's besides Manning. Manning is the only star QB to represent anyone more than 15 years ago. Joey Harrington is the next Marino though, hes got skill

It's still Marino. You take away Edgar Bennett and Ahman Green from Favre and he is pretty screwed. I doubt he oculd carry a team like Marino did. And yes Marino had good receivers. He had Duper and Clayton, Nat Moore and OJ McDuffie (who at his best was catching 100+ balls a year). But he never had a running game and for a while he never had the defense. As for Young being the best? HA! Young was talented, I'll give you that, but notthe best. Sure he could run, but thats what ended his career, getting hit and getting concussions. Marino didn't need to run (which is good because he couldn't run worth a damn, especially after he tore his achilles) he had a quick-ass release, he'd just step up in the pocket and fire a rocket. Marino is the best ever period. And Unitas is the second best, because he changed the way the position is played, plus he called his own plays which is amazing.

As for new QB's, Michael Vick will be the best, hands down. He's faster and has a strogner arm than anyone else. Now that he has Peerless Price to throw to and his defense is getting better, he's going to just kill...
