With the loss of Battlestar Galactica, Reaper, and (for all intents and purposes) Scrubs, I thought it was time to get into a new show (or two). Which of these choices should I go with?

Dexter and Dollhouse. I'd probably start with Dexter though, it has this amazing charm to it. As for Dollhouse, that show gets a bad rep because it's much more serious than any of Joss' other work. Personally I'd put it behind Firefly as my favourite of his shows, but whatever.

P.S. We still got The Plan to look forward to as far as B Star G is concerned :-d

Mad Men, hands down. I could see TJ Wells very easily creaming his pants over that show.

Dexter, but I am working my way through the first season of Mad Men and it's very impressive thus far

Easily would say Breaking Bad, it's just a great show all around.

Mad Men and Friday Night Lights are probably the two best shows on there. Everyone loves Dexter but it's often trite and the acting and dialogue are regularly lacking. Dexter is a fun show for a little while, but it definitely pales in comparison to Mad Man/FNL.

agreed. TJ, you should base your decision on the best argument for watching a show, not the one with the most votes. I'd be happy to write up why I think you should be watching Mad Men and Breaking Bad over any of these shows, after the Phillies game.

I watched the first few episodes, and it never really grabbed me.

Not fucking Dexter. WHATEVER YOU DO TJ. The first season is a joy to watch, true ..... but the rest is some of the worst putrid shit I've ever sat through in my entire life, spanning across every media medium there is.

Dexter 1st season is such great television. Watch that first. Then FNL and Dollhouse.
