Someone submitted the following "news" below, and I needed to post it because it's hysterical. (note: this was posted in complete jest and is not, by any means, posted in an insulting manner.)
Here's a great April Fools joke you guys could pull: "Saosin (www.saosin.com) have finished recording their full length". Come on, you know you want to do it.

Yeah, because being on a major is a great way for a band's record to flop...I mean, look at Fall Out Boy and My Chemical Romance. Yep, now that their on majors, they've faded into oblivion.

I dont care what anyone says...Translating the Name is one of the best EPs i've ever heard (maybe it's because im a drummer and the fills on that record are seriously out of this world). It's enough for me to wait for this album.

Vendetta Red, Juliana Theory, Unwritten Law, American Hi-Fi, Mest, etc. were also on majors... where are they now?...

That's bullshit.
1) Anthony wasn't the main song writer, hence why the band still used "I Can Tell" on the Smartpunk compilation. Anthony's lyrics on "Translating The Name" EP are all butchered up because Beau re-arranged and changed all of the melodies that they were originally written to.
2) And let's pretend for a second that Anthony actually was the main songwriter- he quit the band in January of 2004, the rest of the members have had over two years to write and record new songs...
3) This new record was supposed to be out last Spring, it's almost the Spring of 2006 and they are just NOW entering the studio...
4) There is really NO excuse for a band releasing a mere 7 songs in three years of existance. NONE.
I dont care what anyone says...Translating the Name is one of the best EPs i've ever heard (maybe it's because im a drummer and the fills on that record are seriously out of this world). It's enough for me to wait for this album.
No EP is good enough to hold me over for three years, hell, there's only a few LPs that can do that for me. Also, the drummer on "Translating The Name" EP was only a studio drummer and isn't in the band, and never was. You won't be hearing fills of the caliber from the band anymore.

he wrote the words not the instrumentals. last time i checked saosin cant write shit for instrumentals anymore either. i really don't think the lyrics are anybody's concern right now..

that's the point though. after the amazing drums and instruments in general on that ep they totally went to shit.

Yes, what we learned from the Chappele Show is that Dave Chapelle himself came to his senses and realized not everything can be said in jest because some people take offense to it, and then pulled the plug on the whole thing. As William Shakespeare once said, "Many a truths are said in jest", and people will forever perceive humor in that fashion.
Dave Chappelle is a comedian, his job is to push boundaries... mine is not. Unless I am put in a position where it's my duty to make people laugh, I will not take a shot at a band's work ethic.

Last time I checked A-Rod is a pretty fucking sick drummer. It doesn't matter anyways, you used to be one of the more respected people for absolutepunk, now you just come across as a biast little kid that hates everything their life has come to. I do agree on the fact that Saosin is taking too long to put out a cd, and slowly I am losing interest. Then again, they are the ones' in the band, and not us. Therefore it does not really matter what we think or think we know about the band and why it has taken so long.
