cowalker (http://www.myspace.com/cowalker) (that's a link)

cowalker is from philadelphia. we used to be a five piece rock/electronica band, now we are a three-piece electronica/rock band. big difference, i know. some of our old stuff is up on the myspace page that i linked up there, with an ep to be released in may (recorded by al weatherhead of sparklhorse, he did the comas new record and denali's first full-length), and our new stuff will be coming soon, with an ep hopefully this summer sometime.

we've been compared to dredg, cursive, sade, coldplay, the decemberists, depeche mode, uhhh... other bands... i don't really know that we sound like those bands, but check it out, let us know what you think.

we just had a review published about us on hex records' zine page, check it (http://www.hanginghex.com/pages/zine/reviews.html) out, if you're still not convinced that you should listen to us. i'd usually write something funny here, but i'm suuuuper tired. my user name is cameltoe. that's funny, right? i'm gonna go lay down.

I hate threads with no replies but the band. So here goes.

Song by song:

Lexington & Concord: Damn. I love this. Fo'serious and stuff. The vocalist is kinda abrasive, but I like it. I can see it annoying some, but I'm totally digging it. The electronic feel and synthesized sounds work well too. They layer nice with the guitars. The drums really hit too. I really like the piano in the break down. Oh shit the vocals just came in. This is wonderful, this is definately like dredg (el cielo) and depeche mode (violator) fucking. Definately digging this.

Kali: OK. I'm a sucker for electronica. And not "lets take an 80s band and copy and paste electronica." This is the real kind. And I'm totally sucking for it. Does that make sense? This reminds me of a male fronted Emiliana Torrini. If you don't know her. Buy "Love In The Time Of Science." You'll love her. The vocals on this track work incredibly with the build of the piano into the beat. Make this song downloadable. I beg of you. I was just thinking this reminds me of a local jersey band I know from around here called A Love Like PI. *Checks Top 8." Exactly.

I was planning on commenting on the other two. But I deleted them. Because it's just me sucking them off for like 5 sentences each. This band is just too much my type of shit. I would just keep repeating all the reasons I love the other songs. Let me download more. x)
