How do you listen to music?

I listen to music mainly in iTunes.
I can never decide what to listen to.
And I always think it's because I have all this junk in their for discovery.
So lately I've been cleaning it out.
And I'm scarily down to 2000 songs, I'm being way too efficient and deleting old stuff.
I'm going to start listening to music properly from now on.
Next time one of my favourite bands releases a new album.
I will buy the thing at a CD store.
I will upload it to iTunes
and listen to the thing from start to finish
Not deleting any of it for like a month

How do you listen to music?
I'm starting to feel like living on shuffle isn't the best way.
Do you just pick a band you feel like listening to and play that til you get bored?

Usually when I feel like listening to music, I feel like listening to a certain song/album and it always just goes from there. I don't ever feel like I'm "getting tired of it".

As for how... headphones are a must, and I use WinAmp. Usually.

Work/School: MP3s @ v0 LAME bitrates, entire albums at a time, on my iPod 5G 30gb through Etymotic ER4S earphones
Home: Computer @ Apple Lossless either through Ety ER4S or Logitech Z560 speakers that are like 6 years old.

CDs in the car, or ipod hooked up to Alpine 9887. Always listen to albums. Only time I've ever shuffled in the car was on the road trip to Brand New last week.

Mostly at work on my iPod. When I'm driving it's obviously cd's, but it's whatever I'm in the mood for at the time. I keep a variety on hand for that purpose. When I'm home, almost nothing.
