Whenever I make mixtapes, I always try to give them a story. Here, I think I've crafted one of the best I've ever made. I'll give a quick rundown of the story first.

Basically, some guy is really bored with his life. We'll call him Joe. Joe has dreams of being a famous inventer someday but he works the typical 9-5 job in order to support his wife and new born daughter. He's really restless with the situation but he puts up with it because he loves his family. Well, one day, he comes home after a particularly rough day at work to find his wife in bed with another man. Needless to say, Joe is pissed. He rips off his belt and uses it to strangle the man right in front of his wife and his daughter, who is sleeping in her crib in the corner. Afterwards, he shoots his wife in the head. He walks over to his daughter's crib and wonders what to do next. Realizing that his daughter is a product of his wife, he decides to kill her as well. Thusly, he drops her out the window.

Joe needs to find a new life somewhere, as he's now a wanted murderer. He packs up all his equipment and, after drifting for awhile, settles in a remote, but very large town. There, he finally has the time to work on his inventions. After 10 year's time, he creates an extremely sophisticated satellite. With the help of other scientists in the town, Joe launches his rocket into orbit. The satellite stays in orbit for five years and records enough data to prove that time is nonlinear, successfully proving that life after death is possible. Joe then becomes the talk of the town and celebrates his success by partying with all of the town's young women.

At the party, Joe notices an attractive teenage girl named Anne. Even though he's getting on in years, he persues her relentlessly until she agrees to marry him. Everything seems to be perfect for Joe. He's famous, wealthy, and has an attractive new fiancee. However, he feels that he shouldn't marry her until he tells her the truth about his past so he reveals his secrets to her and tells her to never tell anyone. Unfortunately for him, it turns out Anne is his daughter, the same one he thought he killed fifteen years ago. The fall didn't kill her. Afraid that his daughter will ruin his cover, Joe puts a bullet in her chest. Just before Anne dies, she tells Joe that her mother has been a ghost ever since the night she was murdered and had vowed to protect her. Joe is then confronted by the ghost of his wife. She threatens to kill him if he doesn't confess his past to the towns people. He does so and is thrown in jail and, soon after, executed.

Yeah, I have no life. I don't give a fuck. Tracklist:

Fucking awesome. Major kudos on accomplishing something I would never have the willpower to accomplish. Creating this mix as we speak.

Ghosts can't kill people.

Solid mix though.

thanks. i made this for a girl who's coming to my school next semester who said she loves mixtapes. the "stories" on my mixes are normally vague and pointless but this one turned out pretty tight and dark so i'm rather proud of it. i probably won't ever tell her the story though haha.

Man, I totally would. I'm sure if you told her, and then had her listen to it, or vice-versa, it would make the mix a lot more meaningful.

If it weirded the girl out, she probably wasn't cool to begin with. Haha.

Yeah, seconded. I actually found the mix suddenly less meaningful without the story accompanying it.

I feel this would make a good screenplay.

yeah, that's what i was thinking. she's a pretty cool girl, just kind of sheltered. i figure telling her the mixtape's story lies in adultery, murder, incest, and statutory rape might make her enjoy the music less.

hahaha touche.

This is absolutely awesome. I love making mixes that follow themes, but I never even though about following a story. Love it, great idea!!

This seems like an awesome plot for a movie, awesome mix, too.

ah this is so awesome. my mixes are always just themed, like "sleep" or "angry" or something like that. i would have never thought to create a story like that behind one. kudos to you man.

Wow, this is really creative. I would of never have thought to create a story and then make a playlist for it. Also it doesn't hurt that you have some pretty good songs. Good job!

Really cool mix.The story is sweet too, though it reminds me of a korean film that I won't name because it'll ruin the film (which is amazing.)

Edit: It's not the same story by any means, but elements of it are similar.
