The Appleseed Cast (www.myspace.com/theappleseedcast) launched the "real" e-card (http://www.themilitiagroup.com/ecards/tac/peregrine/) in support of their new album, Peregrine, which hits shelves through The Militia Group on March 21st.

this band...

So good. So underappreciated by SO many people. Put the two Low Level Owl albums on back to back and try NOT to be totally swept away. I wish The Appleseed Cast generated 1/2 as much hype as any random pop punk band floating around here. no offense to any of them. it just seems like they take up the limelight 99% of the time.

I recently got the low level owls on vinyl and I did just that. For almost two hours I listened to all 26 songs and it was amazing. I think I'm going to go do that right now. As for this album, i am super excited for it. I see them again on thursday.

So excited! And I agree: completely underrated band. If I was stuck on a desert island for the rest of my life with one song on an iPod, it would be"Patchwork & Marigold."

I definitely agree. Pop punk is fun but it definitely is not life changing music. And oh yay, AP.net can make a non-Cartel related thread!

I see on your upcoming shows....you had the choice of DCFC or Nickelcreek. And I would've chosen DCFC. Nickelcreek wasnt that good when I saw em. Who'd you choose? I dont know why but i'm curious haha

Dude, I would chose DCFC as well, but when I saw Nickel Creek, they blew my mind. I couldn't belive that 3 people could play so perfectly off each other and make it seem completley effortless. Also, the guitar player plays faster on an acoustic than most metal players on electric.
Still, Death Cab is the shit and there is no question on that dilema.

Wow......I've just finished listening to Peregrine three times through today and my fears have been confirmed....
This is going to be another woefully underappreciated release from the Cast.
It's honestly everything I hoped it would be. Spacey, atmospheric, melodic, and beautiful. Just wow.
