[tommy's ghost]

I’ve strayed from the growls
Painted on the ground,
But
Even sheep keep teeth.
I’ve abandoned the musk
That whistles with the wind,
But
Its gale has yet to rescind.
This mortality has become
Much too sordid for some;
Some being me
And the company I keep.

Each flutter of my eyelids
Is an after-thought.
Each blink leaves its shadow
Upon my pupils’ pulpit,
Where life performs
Accordingly to my perception.
The shadows become storm clouds.
Droplets foreshadow the squall.
This mortality has become a caricature
Drawn in the vein of a rodent piloting
A steamboat across a pale surface.
A monochrome monotony
Too real for reality.

I like this. The first couple lines reminded me of something Mastodon would write. It obviously loses that frame of mind almost immediately after, but I like the flow. I'm taking it as somewhat punchy, but I like that.

Definitely. I absolutely LOVE the artwork on all of the albums. They just ooze heaviness, but with style. And I love how they're able to capture the overall feel of the albums with each of the covers.
