I did this poll about a month ago to see what people would think about Mandala vs ATBB. After giving it a few listens, is it your favorite compared to the other albums?

PS. if you dont know this band, you are truly missing out.

Mandala with ...And the Battle Begun shortly behind it.

Don't get me wrong the new cd is pretty great, but I gotta have a little horn with rx bandits. I liked and the battle begun because it was different from anything I've heard. I would spend hours rocking out to it. The new cd I can bang to, which is....just as awesome. I guess its a tie.

I'm surprised The Resignation isn't leading.

I think it's their best album all around

i think its their poppiest, most easy-to-listen-to album but i dont think its their best. When it comes to song writing and musicianship, i think ATBB and Mandala blow it away

Song writing and musicianship easily get better with each album. I think Mandala is their strongest collective recording to date but I think The Resignation was, song for song, a similarly cohesive and focused album. All their albums are so different, I see it really branch off between people.

The Resignation defined the band for me, it blew me away after Progress, it was a giant leap. ...ATBB is not as much of a leap after Res... and I think this has something to do with my love for it. The creative horn use of Prophetic and Never Slept, interesting tracks like Falling Down The Mountain and Dinna-Dawg, it was so different. There are aspects of ...ATBB I prefer, but also more moments I'm not feeling as much. I think the DTR delays also hurt the reception of that album as well, and perhaps it being entirely self produced wasn't all positive. On their own merits, I find myself very torn between their last three albums.

they're not necessarily a band that you can just listen to one or two songs of because they're so different, but i guess Decrescendo is a good n00b song. but as far as albums go, id start with The Resignation...i find its a good album to introduce the band, after that, you can hear their progression from album to album.

I disagree. while I think that ATBB and Mandala are amazing, The Resignation is more cohesive as a whole than the newer ones and the songwriting is basically the same, just a little more straight forward.

but this is nothing to argue about. amazing fucking band

Why is nobody else singing the praises of Progress?

I still listen to this album frequently

not really a fan of ATBB or Mandala

Fave song is probably "Matering the List" off of Resignation

How close this poll is right now is a testament to how awesome the Bandits are.

Progress will always have a special place in my heart. ATBB has a couple of my favorite RXB songs, and so does The Resignation. The musicianship on Mandala is mindblowing. I don't think I'll ever be able to choose.
