yeah, can't go wrong really with a UConn pick. it's their title, IMO, if they want it. they have so many kids that can step up at one time. but i hope they don't because i've got texas over uconn in the championship.

UCLA is in my final 4. they're much better than people think, ust because the East Coast media chose not to cover them this year for some reason

I don't know, but I like Pitt's chances of going farther now than I did yesterday. UConn will probably win. Duke won't win, because Redick's annual chokejob is on the way.

Because they're not even the best team in their conference, that's why. They've got a good defense, nothing more. They didn't win one game all year against a very good team (Losses to Memphis, Washington(x2), West Virginia). They beat Arizona, but Arizona sucked during the regular season, so they don't count.
But now they've got a really easy road, unless Gonzaga faces them and Morrison plays the game of his life.

They have been playing great as of late. The whole arizona not being a good team all year is a stupid argument too. The Arizona team that won today was the same team that played in the pac 10. Ucla is capable of beating good teams and they are on a roll as of late. Also, they beat Nevada which is another good team.

oh, so since they blew out a team who really isn't as good as their record and it shocked people west of the rocky mountains, it proves what? that they're dominant?
arizona still is arizona. with an overrated point guard and an underachieveing roster.

arizona still is arizona. with an overrated point guard and an underachieveing roster.I never once said they were dominant. Why are you even trying to argue this. My point is that Arizona is a good team. They actually showed up to play in the tournament unlike some other teams. Bad teams dont advance in the tournament. UCLA has played some good teams this year and I would say Arizona is one of them.

and they played washington twice and lost twice. overratedAnd UW lost to WSU twice whats your point? UCLA hasn't been blown out all year. Every game has been close, even the games against UW. They play great defense and have superb guard play, which could take them far into the tournament. With that being said UCLA probably has the most trouble with a team's style like UW

No they're not. Arizona got into the tournament on reputation. Lute Olson is just amazing at getting his team to play well in the NCAA tournament. And as for Nevada being a good team, where are they now? Beaten by Montana. That is not the mark of a good team.

I've got to disagree with you Scott. They're a team that went 19-12, and lost in the second round of their conference tournament. That happens to anyone else and they would have at least been a bubble team.

Losing early in your conference tournament, especially in the 2nd round, really doesn't mean anything. Washington lost in the first round, UConn lost to Syracuse early, it's just one game and it's not fair to have it reflect your entire season. Arizona is a team that finished 4th in the Pac-10, beat Kansas and Washington and hung with UConn and MSU. They didn't have an oustanding season and their seed may have been high, but they definitely deserved to be in the tournament, and after they spanked Wisconsin I don't see how you can argue against that.

The Pac-10 title was extremely close and UW would have won it if Justin Dentmon hadn't have been called for that foul at the buzzer against Stanford, to watch Hernandez shoot 3 free throws and send it into OT and win there. If that doesn't happen, UW wins the title and the tiebreaker (beating UCLA twice.) It's funny, if you watch that replay anyways, you can see that Dentmon actually never touches him.

All UW had to do was beat WSU once. No offense but a team that loses to WSU twice doesn't deserve to win the Pac 10

Yeah, but Washington and UConn were already locked into the tournament. Arizona, with a weaker record, should have had to prove a little bit more to the committee.
Lets just agree to disagree. They could move far in the tournament anyway, because Olson is a great NCAA tournament coach.

i'm not even going to answer that question because if you can't read between the lines then this debate is pointless.I asked the question for a reason. Yes they beat UCLA twice, in very close games, but you never addressed the point that UW lost to WSU twice. The best team in the Pac 10 doesn't lose to the worst team in the Pac 10 twice. UW is too inconsisent to be the best team in the pac 10.

And UCLA couldn't beat the best teams in the Pac-10, so how can they be the best? We can dance around this all night. UW lost to WSU twice because WSU shot the lights out both times they played and UW was ice cold. it happens, good teams lose to bad teams. UCLA lost to USC. It's just funny how the best team in the Pac-10 lost to the 2nd best teams (Washington, Cal) 3 out of 4 teams. Guess UW can't win against bad teams and UCLA can't win against good ones.

As far as UW losing to WSU. Yea it happens where bad teams beat good teams but losing twice to the same team is not that common. Yes, ucla lost to usc on the road but usc did finish in the middle of the pac 10. They did lose 3 out of four games to cal and uw but they did beat arizona 3 times this year. I just like the way they have been playing as of late. We could dance around this all night because neither of us is going to change our opinions.
