yea, thats what i was thinking too, cuz blueridge is basically just some japanese copy of a better guitar...but then again the ibanez one is just some beginner's guitar and mite not have the same quality sound...oi, decisions decisions

an idea: go to your local music store and (ghasp) actually shop for a guitar in person! find something that your comfortable with.

like therealhebm said, i would go to your local Guitar Center or whatever and play with the stuff they have there. But if you don't care, and want to take a chance, Takamine is good.

actually yea, i did get to go try the blueridge one at some guitar shop, it sounded nice/deep, but i havent tried the ibanez to compare it w/. also, i dont have much experience w/ acoustic guitars, so i dont exactly have the ears for it yet.

*shrug* since it's your first acoustic, i wouldn't think too hard about it. You want a good tone quality, but you're not going to get anything super-excellent unless you're going to spring a couple G's for a Martin. A Takamine or a Washburn is pretty good starter, and they aren't terribly bad on your wallet.

takamine sound nice for the price, even the lower end. and i don't recomend getting one at most local music stores unless you know what you're talking about or know that they are trustworthy because most jack up the price.

I wouldn't count out looking at some Yamahas. They make decent guitar for the price.
