Motion City Soundtrack Review

Men Women and Children- very good band, they have alot of energy and they like to play around on stage. They even had a bubble machine spewing bubbles out. They were alot of fun.

Next, the Matches. This band really surprised me, I even slapped hands with the lead singer. They are harder than Men Women and Children. Fun band to watch.

Then, The Format came on. This band surprised me the most. They were alot better than what I had expected and I would have to say I liked them the best.

Finally, Motion City Soundtrack came on. I'm not a huge MCS fan by any means, but they put on a damn good show.

Overall, the night was great. However, the TLA is a small venue.

I thought this was a fun show as well. Though I'm not particularly a fan of men, women, and children or the matches (I've listened to both of their stuff and just never got into it), both bands were energetic performers. My favorite band of the night would have to be The Format who pulled off an excellent performance for the small pack of followers who migrated to the center of the floor. They stood out nicely as more composed performance and audience. In the end, though, it was Motion City Soundtrack's show and they did indeed rock the house.

I'm still mad that I had to miss this tour. The Format and MCS are both amazing live and I'd love to see Men Women & Children

I clicked on this thread expecting it actually having something to do with Motion City.

No offense to you, cause I hate people who come to threads just to bash, but that's what I was expecting.

Motion City Soundtrack is one of the best live bands i've seen.

i went to this tour last night in NYC... and i have to say.. the crowd that MCS attracted was really obnoxious and rude.. my favorite comment of the night was "The Matches and Men Women & Children and Motion City Soundtrack don't even play the same music.. they shouldn't be sharing a stage, Motion City Soundtrack shouldn't have openers" ... also... "why do people need to push around so much... it's a concert.." (talkin about i guess.. the energeticness of the crowd during the matches). In the end i went for the Format.. and the Format was amazing (TJ of MWC came and sang with them during The First Single) everything i expected and more... the Matches were amazing (played 3 new songs and Shawn' sister came and sang on Track 11/Scratched Out) .. and Men Women and Children were so good live.. haven't failed me yet.. lots of energy and fun.. i only stayed for the first 4 songs of Motion City.. they were good... i just couldnt stand the crowd... and was mad hungry... Justin said a few songs in "i know all you guys seem pretty cool.. but im not sure what the PUNCH SOMEONE IN THE FACE dance move is.."

Setlist for any of the bands anyone? Going to this in a week and excited for all the bands. =)
