This is the official thread for those of us who are of the opinion that Max Bemis' antics and music would be infinitely more enjoyable if Max had a beard. Honestly, a bearded man would probably make nay nay sound manly and actually physically kill Pitchfork and everyone who ever disliked Say Anything. But alas, Max's chin is merely bedecked in stubble, a pathetic farce insofar as facial hair is concerned. We need a beard, Mr. Bemis. We need a beard so that you can be our idol, the hope for a better tomorrow, the reason we can believe in love and in lumberjacks once more.

1.) Thrice's discography is as follows: Identity Crisis, The Illusion of Safety, The Artist in the Ambulance, If We Could Only See Us Now (b-sides album), Vheissu, The Alchemy Index (Fire, Water, Air, Earth), Beggars. This is excluding EPs and the live album. Also, having a discography is not comparable to being familiar with it.

2.) What does subtlety have to do with this? There are certainly subtleties to be found within their body of work, but pointing out a lack of subtlety in no way discredits Thrice as a band. This assumes that all art is meant to be "subtle," which is just flat out inaccurate and bordering on ignorant. There are certain messages that Dustin wants to communicate, and an aggressive, in-your-face approach tends to be the most appropriate way to convey those messages. It might not be your cup of tea, but that doesn't make it poor.

3.) I have no idea what you even mean when you say "their writing has no direction whatsoever." I mean, I can try to assume, but what comes to mind is such an inaccurate description of Thrice that it doesn't even register.
