Head Automatica Interview Questions

I will be doing an interview with the guys of Head Automatica (http://www.headautomatica.com) next week. Please leave any questions that you might have for the band in the replies and I will do my best to get them all answered.

I guess you've never had an off day in your life. Try to keep an open mind buddy. Whether his crohn's is acting up, maybe personal trials, death in the family, illness, he's not gonna walk out on stage and say "I have diarrhea sorry if I suck tonight" people are going to have good and bad days, he's not a machine. You got to think of all the possibilities before you open your mouth man. Daryl's the king, and for the record Glassjaw is still intact minus Todd.

1) I'm not very educated on Krone's disease (sp?), is this a life-long condition that can happen at anytime (such as when Head Automatica cancelled tour in late 2004)? Or is Daryl getting better and able to do more than he used to be able to?

2) Most bands have to do much smaller tours and usually take a lot longer to make a name for themselves. How was it for everyone involved to see this start to get big after doing the Thursday tour? Do they personally feel like their current success was sort of given to them, given Daryl's previous noteriety (sp?)?

3) Was there any point at which all you guys thought that it was over, like Daryl's condition just would end it?

4) Is anyone else in the band involved in any other projects?

I don't mean for any of these questions to come across as spiteful or mean, just purely curious.

oh my god would the world of absolutepunk remove their mouth from daryls penis. ive seen HA three times each time has been the same and you must not know shit about crohns because if it was acting up at all then he would not be able to perform so i dont wanna hear that bullshit excuse. seriously, yea daryl was great in glassjaw but everyone needs to come to the realization that they are done, they keep giving people hope by saying otherwise but every single band i've talk to about glassjaw fucking raves about how glassjaw is one of their faves but they tell me that they have been told by certain people (not gonna name names) that it's never gonna happen. if they did make another album it would not be the same without all the same members. and he was fuckin delighted to be there and was jumping around (hence no diarrhea or death in the family) his performance simply sucked. people want to think hes this amazing frontman but ive seen them three damn times and everytime he acts freakin joyful to be there but does the shittiest job ive ever witnessed singing the songs. and have you heard "graduation day" you cannot even tell me that his musical abilities arent declining. what are you gonna say next? that cove is a good singer? haha

live4music I have to disagree, I don't know what show you were at, but at the show wednesday night they were amazing and not off at all. i didn't catch them at the day showcase though, so i don't know if that is what you were referring too

Yeah I believe they announced this wayy back in the summer when the EP got cancelled. They said they were going to make a full-length and release a DVD as well. I got the impression that it would be released around the same time.

Erm, no. YOU must know "shit" about Crohn's.

Sufferers have good, bad and average days so it would be possible for him to perform during a moderate attack of the illness - perhaps because of just how guilty he feels when he has to cancel other shows.

And to whoever asked, Crohn's Disease is genetic, can affect you anywhere from your throat downwards, and there is no cure.

maybe your just unlucky dude i saw them like a month ago and it was one of the best performences ive ever seen by a band
