Wow... more hypocritical neph- talking about biased news--- this is one of the most... not just liberal- but BIASED peices of news i have ever seen in my entire life.
The whole section on the war with Iraq is about how the US is messing up- and not the current news of how they are kicking Iraqi ass...
oh oh look at this one ---
"Since their own lives aren't that important, U.S. soldiers are being asked to pray for George Bush." I see no fact in that "report"
god almighty- and you say Fox is a bunch of shit- THIS IS 10X WORSE... no wait 100X.
There's journalism- and then there's this--- people who sit around- watch the news- and write down what they think of it. Really- I really don't see any "journalists" in this site - in Kuwait or on the front lines reporting what they see or interviewing or ANYTHING. this is complete shit.
This site totally explains your political reasoning Neph.
go sit in the corner and think about what you've done.

http://www.alternet.org/story.html?StoryID=15509
from lebanon
but thats besides the point.
you got upset that someone was criticizing the war, and God forbig they do that, so you didn't even understand the fucking article.
so do me a favor, go back and read it again, and then discuss the facts it brings to the table.

I don't care if people criticize the war- thats fine- but thats all this is. I would nearly look at you and say "give me evidence of this artical." No wonder you are so against the war- if this is all you read- you may think all they are doing is killing civilians- taking oil fields and directly pumping it to Bush... i mean- thats all that this site says.
You looked at us and said that cnn and fox are too biased for you to read... but is this your "unbiased" source?!
dude... are you a hypocrite on purpose?!
If you go to www.cnn.com - you will see that they do - infact- report both sides of the story- they do not say "Army is driven by god- they are perfect and take upmost care in what they do, they never make mistakes" and they do not say "The US army kills civilians and steps on their cold dead bodies while they bomb the markets of Baghdad"
There's informative news- reports reported with FACTS...
and then there's that alternet stuff you just showed us.
lets pull out blurbs from the article...
"In a move typical for what passes for U.S. diplomacy these days"
"The Bush administration has been busy spinning Garner's record to make him appear the perfect, sensitive, team player that Iraq needs to rebuild itself in the American image."
"But if anything can save Iraq from Garner's tender clutches, it will be the need for UN money."
"The Bush Administration is like the Red Queen in Alice in the Looking Glass, perfectly able to believe in three impossible things before breakfast."
"At the heart of Washington's contradictory and constantly shifting position is the desire to monopolize the control of Iraq"
"So when the time comes to set up a post-war administration in Iraq, the U.S. will either have to pay its own way or play ball with the rest of the Security Council."
"Aiming General Jay Garner at the innocent civilians of post-war Iraq will be yet another ham-handed, arrogant decision that guarantees an aftermath as messy and potentially disastrous as its initiation."
Now those are INCREDIBLY filled with fact don't you think?
Neph... just admit this article.. and the whole site is incredibly biased.

This Garner guy will probably be in control for a short amount of time; long enough for stability to be established and for elections to be set up. Until those two things can be accomplished, we need a leader to organize Iraq.
