tons of fun facts about the new goodbyetomorrow
Wow, so were do we even begin? I'll try my best to make this as short and sweet as possible
The past two months in this band have been absolutely insane to say the very least! For those of you who haven't heard, we have added new singer as well as a second guitarist. Honestly, we couldn't possibly be happier with the way the band is going on every level right now. It's finally that big, fun happy family we've always dreamed about, and things are flowing so well with writing and such. We know you guys will be as happy with our choice as we are. We auditioned/heard from over 40 guys, and we want to thank all of them for their time and interest very much. We were extremely picky, we wanted a ton out of someone, and we got every last drop of it with the new boy Our new singers name is Travis Bryant. Some of you may have known him from his last band Terminal, signed to Tooth & Nail Records. We know Travis is a seriously perfect fit and has brought some amazing qualities to the table with the band, not only as our front man, but as a great friend. As for the second guitarist we have a cute lad by the name of Matt Grabe playing guitar, and doing our programming and junk like that now. Some of you in the Az might recognize Matt from his past band Thirte FS. We absolutely love all 5'6" of him. Our sound is taking twists and turns and we are extremely happy with the way things are shaping up We've been writing none stop, and are just gonna keep on trucken' as long as we can to make sure we write the best record we are capable of.
Moving on as some of you have heard, yes, we did in fact sign to Equal Vision Records. We couldn't have asked for a better label and group of dudes to be working with. We spent months talking to labels, but and as soon as we met Dan and the guys at EVR everything just clicked; it's been a beautiful and very natural fit. We will have an official press release coming very soon in regards to the signing and such but we know without a doubt we are at home being on EVR! We also now have a cute booking agent by the name of Dave Shapiro. Not only is Dave an amazing friend, an amazing dude, and hard working professional, but he has an amazing roster that we are ever so excited to be apart of. Some of Dave's current roster includes: He is Legend, As Cities Burn, Gatsby's American Dream, Chiodos and a few more
New jams you ask? As for new goodbyetomorrow tunes, if you have a chance come check out any of the upcoming one off shows we will be playing around the south west of the US the next few months and you will hear a lot of the new music. With the new members, and over a year of playing the old songs, it just became time for a change and a clean start. We are beyond excited for you all to hear the new stuff, we hope you enjoy, and yes, we will still play an old song or two live. We head into the studio in April to record a 3 song demo, which we will have available on tour & the internet to tide you over until our official Equal Vision / debut full length comes out, tentatively scheduled for release in January of '07.
Guys, honestly, your love and support shown to us through all these changes, all these ups and downs has been nothing short of incredible. You have proven time and time again that you are all seriously the best "fans" any band could ever have. Thank you again for all you do for us. Now that all is said and done, we are pushing full steam ahead, new line up, new label, booking agent, management everything! This is a brand new goodbyetomorrow. Take care, love ya'll, and have a beautiful day.
Your boys,
Josh Niles, Travis Bryant, David Roat, Josh Johnson & Matt Grabe.
