Whenever I hear best, I just go with favorite.
Out of these, Yellowcard, followed closely by New Found GLory.

You're right, I would've voted for them! But I voted for NFG. They're a damn good pop punk band.
why is Sum 41 even included in this poll?
Have you heard All Killer No Filler and Does This Look Infected?
That's why.

ZING!
If you haven't realized that different people like different music yet, you should really go back to preschool. Sum 41 is an option because they're pop-punk, and a fairly respected pop-punk band at that. Just because you think they're a "shitty band" doesn't mean other fans of the genre don't like them.

1.) New Found Glory
2.) Sum 41*
3.) Green Day
4.) Yellowcard**
* I liked "All Killer, No Filler" more than I liked any Green Day album
** Yellowcard is terrible. Oceans Avenue was their only listenable album

imo they are the best pop punk band ever
For some reason, they often get overlooked when it comes to "best pop punk band ever". I wouldn't call them the best, but I'd certainly put them pretty damn close to the top! Definitely one of the best bands of the 21st century.

Green Day. Cut and dry.
The truth. Love all the bands though.

Green Day, no contest. As much as I seriously love the other three, when they can pull off an exhilarating 2 hour and 45 minute set consisting of music spanning 8 full length albums that were released throughout 20+ years, THEN I'll compare them to Green Day. Oh yeah, and their alter ego bands, The Network AND Foxboro Hot Tubs both released solid albums. Then there was the B-Sides album that was kickass.
I've seen all of them live minus Sum 41 (I definitely wanna see em though!), NFG are SO good live, but even they can't come close to Green Day's live act. See Green Day live before you try to argue this one, seriously.

Well let me propose it this way...
Have you ever attempted to listen to that album? Only that album.
If you've never given it a single chance, you'd be foolish. Now if you listen to that album and still think they suck, then I'll accept that as your own opinion. You apparently have some bad perception of the band and I just hope it's not preventing you from giving that album a chance.

i don't know about who is a better pop-punk band, but i know that (as a fact) green day is a better band.
i was listening to millencolin this morning and it occured to me that they seem to be forgotten when talking about great pop punk bands.

just the fact that its Sum 41 puts me off wanting to listen to one of their albums, no matter how good you think it is.

SO happy green day is losing. Unbelievably overrated. Simply entered into the scene at the right time. Ugh, they make me cringe. NFG slaughters the competition in this poll. Sum(chuck) and YC(OFTK) are solid though. NFG are unstoppable in every way.

NFG is the best option. None of those are the best though.
Yellowcard, then NFG. Yellowcard is one of the bands that got me into the "scene," for lack of a better word, along with Something Corporate and Fall Out Boy. I will always have a soft spot (/hard on) for YC. Hopefully they'll get back together sooner rather than later.

NFG; I can't stand neither Green Day nor Sum 41. I rocked Yellowcard back in middle school, but I haven't really listened to them since, so I don't really know what they're doing now.
