Dance Gavin Dance - Happiness deserves to be on top 5 imo
Thrice - Beggars deserves to be on most anticipated
and Marilyn Manson - High End of Low was definitely the most disappointing album i heard all year.
I want others to thread their opinions as well.
I actually forgot to put thrice's new albums in the best group i heard it with the watermark and it is very good.

3. Taking Back Sunday - New Again
Really?!
Most Anticipated 5
1. Brand New - And One Head Can Never Die Name of the album is Daisy.
Most Dissappointed 5
1. Why? - Eskimo Snow This just leaked a couple of days ago. I definitely suggest giving it another listen.
Actually I have two disappointments:
Manchester Orchestra
Kevin Devine
Taking Back Sunday is never gonna be TAYF again and this CD although very different from TBS style is quite a good listen.
You may be right on the daisy thing but i believe the name of the album keeps changing and i thought the one i put was the newest.
As for Why? It's still on my recent playlist and I continue to give it a shot but it is definately no Alopecia.

The Original Cowboy shouldn't be considered a record. Not sure why you even included that. It was just something Against Me! released because they had it lying around.
Eskimo Snow isn't what I wanted it to be either but it's still solid. Different doesn't mean bad.
No One's First.. is disappointing to me. It may be just b-sides but I'm not feeling it at all.
PS. All those other albums you mentioned are awful.

Trust me, this guy's got a wealth of songs you wouldn't believe. I once glanced in his iTunes and was blown away. Some songs I've heard him play and love myself, he now dismisses as crap. He mentioned a few songs he was going to record and I knew them all and approve. One even solicited a heck yes out of me.

That makes me really excited. His first album felt like it was bogged down by a lot of filler, so the idea of two albums in a year seems iffy to me. I trust your opinion, though. I'm actually REALLY excited now. He'll probably release my top 2 AOTY next year, lol.
Yeah, you definitely should if you can. I'm going with my brother's youth group. He won two free tickets for designing a shirt for the festival, so I don't even have to pay. Oh, and I have two good friends who are leaving tomorrow to walk there. It'll be about 210 mi over the course of two weeks... We'll see how that goes.

Ha, guilty pleasures are silly. If you like it, you like it. Doesn't have to be the greatest music ever to be enjoyable.
Yeah. They have it planned out pretty well, but I think they've underestimated the pain their legs are going to be in. They aren't exactly that fit, and they're planning on walking 18 mi a day. That catches up on you pretty fast.

Not that I know of. They worked with some other people, but I think the Butch Walker material will still be on the record.

I didn't at first, but it's growing on me. The idea of him screaming on it doesn't appeal to me, though. Butch Walker is definitely the number one source of hope for this being a pretty good album.

It does when you're a hipster snob.

I dunno. Butch does good with pop-rock. Not sure how his style will translate with their particular brand of post-hardcore. But I do agree, he's pretty much the last hope I have of this record being worth anything.

Their self-titled bordered on pop rock anyways, though, and those were some of the better moments of the album. I think he'll balance out their desire to become a "heavy" band again.

Your disappointed sucks.
The Dangerous Summer's new album kicks ass. Idk how you can't like it.
The new MO is amazing.
And how were you disappointed by artwork? their last 2 albums prior sucked.
I was as excited for TDS and MO as anyone on this site, but...
The Dangerous Summer: The lyrics from song to song are sometimes repetitive ("I was just a kid" is in three different tracks) or self-contradicting ("I've found what I'm looking for" on Settle Down versus "I haven't found what I've been looking for yet" on Symmetry, which is three songs later). The production highlights the percussion and rhythm guitar parts too much, burying the lead guitar melodies required on a powerpop album of this kind. AJ has a solid voice quality-wise, but his range consists of the middle notes and screeching out higher notes. I was a fan of their effort on "If You Could Only Keep Me Alive" because it was well produced and diverse, but this record fell flat for me.
Manchester Orchestra: The first three tracks burst with energy and passion, but the later tracks slow and dull in a way that makes those first three songs feel like flukes rather than parts of a whole album. There's a lot of mimicry soundwise, borrowing from Nirvana (actually, the guitar line on "In My Teeth" is basically copied and pasted from "About A Girl"), Thursday, and The Dear Hunter, and lyrically, leaning heavily towards Thrice and Brand New. Andy Hull has a very distinctive voice on Manchester's first album and on The Bitter End's "Right Away, Great Captain!" but he falls into a systematic sing/scream pattern that tilts sometimes towards Weatherbox and at other times towards Thrice. I'd rather go listen to the efforts of these other bands, then, and not be lulled by the back half of "Mean Everything to Nothing".
And, in the case of The Used, they actually were one of the bands that got me into the scene in the earlier part of this decade. Their self-titled, along with "In Love and Death", The Starting Line's early work, and SoCo's two albums really got me into music in a way that I had never been before. I still hold a nostalgic love for "In Love and Death", and am probably unfit to judge it properly on the basis of quality as a result, but I've been hoping for something along the lines of their first two efforts since 2004. "Lies for the Liars" was a disappointment (no arguments there), but I will continue to have high hopes and expectations for this band, and will, as such, continue to be greatly disappointed by every effort that they put out that doesn't hold up against their first two albums.
