the vanished
fair to midland
handclaps and harmonies
sometimes it rains
man factory
im too lazy to post links - they all have myspace, none of them are really punk, the first two are good rock bands the last too are good pop bands with handclaps having a horn section and sometimes it rains being totally awesome in every way possible, man factory - has songs about street fighter two and an incredible live show
and denton bands
the marked men
high tension wires
chop saki
the gash
the ouch
the reds
those are all garage/punk bands with the marked men being the best - high tension wires features members of the marked men, riverboat gamblers and the reds. chop saki is another band with marked men and gamblers.

the secret machines used to be based in dallas, but [daryl] and black tie dynasty are also excellent.
