Asteria (http://www.myspace.com/asteria) has posted some new songs from their upcoming full length on Myspace (http://www.myspace.com/asteria) and some upcoming shows also. Look for a June street date through Carbon Copy Media (http://www.myspace.com/carboncopymedia).

I can't wait until this label crashes and burns a year or two from now.

I'd rather wait for a new Starting Line cd than to listen to a cover band.

haven't listened to these guys in almost 2 years, but i do know that they are friendly and helpful to touring bands. they helped me set up a show for TJV in Indiana. good luck to them

Real good dudes. I did some belts for them a few months ago and they were a pleasure to work with.

I have a 3 song demo from their upcoming full length "Slip Into Something A Little More Comfortable" and the songs are superb. It's a shame people have to sit and talk shit about this band when they are trying to make it just like every band out there. The only difference from them and the others is that their work is paying off.

1) Not every band is trying to make it.
2) Music is not about making it or making money.
3) If you're in a band purely for trying to "make it" then you're full of shit about being a real musician. That is called being a businessman.
4) As far as I know, they didn't do any of the work.

right, so no bands ever start a band in hopes of making it...youre right, how could i be so stupid. no bands ever get together hoping to go on tour and play shows and make it a career. im sure everyone who goes to college just does it for fun as well, not to have a living after they graduate. sure, music isnt about making it or making money...but if you are good at it im guessing its a pretty good option, i dont know anyone who would turn down a record deal except you. as far as you know they didnt do any of the work...youre right on with that too. they paid people to write their songs and didnt do any of that work either. the person who records them, their guitar player, yeah...he didnt go to school to learn how to make incredible sounding recordings. you know, if every band that was signed and on tour wasnt about making the money then they wouldnt be doing it, sure...maybe making money is just enough to get gas and food and survive. music is a business, it's a fun business where the lucky and talented prosper. open your eyes and take a look at the real picture and instead of ripping on asteria in every thread in which they are mentioned take a look and see that they did something that they tried and worked for. noones making fun of you for you doing what you love and the work you work so hard on.

Some of Asteria's songs do seem strangly familiar to Say It Like You Mean It.
