Cute Is What We Aim For (http://www.myspace.com/cuteiswhatweaimfor) has posted a clip of a song titled "The Curse of Curves" from their brand new album on pureVOLUME.com (http://www.purevolume.com/cuteiswhatweaimfor). The band's new album, currently untitled, is set for a July 11th release date through Fueled By Ramen (http://www.fueledbyramen.com) (Remind Me (http://www.absolutepunk.net/calendar.php?do=getinfo&e=450&c=3)).

Considering the CD comes out in July, they probably don't want to start pushing a single 4 months in advance... this is just a nice way to keep fans happy and give them a brief glimpse into the new CD.

Considering the CD comes out in July, they probably don't want to start pushing a single 4 months in advance... this is just a nice way to keep fans happy and give them a brief glimpse into the new CD.

Haha, thank you. Exactly... It's like first of all... this is a band that was unsigned like 4 months ago and used to try to add me on myspace everyday... and now they're all of a sudden some HUGE deal where they think they're cool enough to show people a "CLIP" !?! haha

Oh, and as a follow up - they pulled this bullshit with one or two songs previously, even before they were signed! They hype up weak songs just to run up the plays on their purevolume account. Don't be fooled - these guys think they are the next Stones.

i think this cd will be good overall
this song has the same beat as some other song... i cant remember what but i always think of it when i think of boy meets world

im really impressed. im very excited for this release now
even if i still think the song sounds a lot like another one... i know the beat and the way the voice sounds but none of the words

this is good. his voice sounds a lot better in this clip than it did in the earlier demos. definite improvement.

the academy did not rip off fall out boy. they've all known each other for years and its only natural that they would have a similar sound. dont assume things just because the academy got popular after fall out boy.

i like it. period.
i mean yes there's a ton of speculation of why its good...
did they write it? auto-tune? etc, etc...
and to answer those questions with my knowledge...shannts voice is never to on live. i dont doubt that those vocals were massively adjusted and advanced. and as far as the musical talent in that band. the drummer is the best thing that got. im sure they recieved outside help, and im sure they wouldnt mind admiting to it after the CD comes out and they find themselves on TRL. (yes, it mostly likely will happen)
but with all that in to consideration, i like it for what it is...
shannt does do good with words. and you must give him credit for that.
no they're def. not then next greatest band, but they are set up to be the next biggest money making band out of nowhere.
B-lo, is a good place to live in, if you dont mind the drama in the music scene.
but if you want to listen to a band with no drama hailing from the queen city, with no speculation about their talent and character...
please...please...check out the two new Sleepaway Tracks from their upcoming full length...
