I've been a fan of Beckett for years, I had to take him. As for taveras I didn't pick him for home runs, if you look at the rest of my lineup you can tell I've pretty much got that covered. Bonderman is going to have a banner year, and you neglected to mention my sleeper; Curtis Granderson. Rookie outfielder from Detroit that blew up Spring training and earned his starting position.

Firstly, while it may be what those of you up in bahstun say when referring to your team, it is well knows down in these parts (NY) that we take the opposition when referring to one single player of yours or any other team in which this applies. kendall was one of my last picks, i needed a catcher and went with him. same thing happened last year, i got stuck with him basically. i'm taking a chance that magglio will put up some numbers this year. i took thome too, another risky coming-off-an-injury pick. but there's a huge upside with both guys. i like thome hitting in us cellular in chicago, the ball flies out of there.
