I have to write an essay/review for school on a good movie that is not R-rated. I've been thinking, and cannot come up with one good movie that is PG-13 or under. Any suggestions? I'm stuck.

Is it just a plan old review? because if that's the case you could do it for basically any animated movie (Wall-E, Toy Story 1 or 2). Also, Jaws is not rated R and that's a classic. Any of the Indiana Jones or Star Wars films would also work.

I actually never pay attention to what a movie is rated. Either way, I'm sure there are numerous terrific films out there that are not R-rated.

It was pre-PG-13, so you had either PG or R. An R-rating was super rare because that meant, in those days, that you were virtually fucked financially, as no one would go see it. Any/all movies that were on the line between the two ratings (JAWS, Poltergeist) lobbied HARD for PG ratings to ensure profit.
