Hi, I'm a 26 yrs old guitarist with 11 years experience. I am looking to form a punk/pop-punk band with the goal of creating an album of songs about Washington D.C. I'm looking to hook up with a singer, drummer, and bassist from around the DC Metro area. My primary punk/pop-punk influences include Rise Against, Green Day, and Offspring.
This project is called the "State of Washington DC," based on my experience as a musician living in Washington DC. The lyrics are commentary on the current state of the Washington DC music scene, political scene, and social life. Songs range from "United We Fall," a more serious political/social punk song about gentrification in DC neighborhoods to the party-vibe pop-punk tune "Drunk on the Metro."
