$9 shipping combined with the fact that you say "vinyls" and you take the time to point out how much $$$ other similar records have gone for is a dick move.
This.
$9 shipping combined with the fact that you say "vinyls" and you take the time to point out how much $$$ other similar records have gone for is a dick move.
Shipping LP's are expensive The shipping amount is calculated by eBay using the amount of weight of the LP and packaging. I suppose you could put it in a paper bag and ship it Media Mail for 4$. I only showed the amount for the Eater album because I dont want to sell unless it goes for more than a certain amount. The records are made out of vinyl (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vinyl) (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vinyl%29). I also didnt know vinyls wasnt the new dope word to use.
These are records from my record collection , I am not a record store, so I have a connection to these records (I am not going to ship them out in flimsy packaging to be broken while shipping) and I wouldnt sell them if I wasnt moving so I am not going to sell it for less than its worth because in that case id rather pay to ship them across the country to my new apartment. Would you give/sell your stuff away for less than its worth. If so whats in your music collection I might be interested once I move.

you're full of shit and never correct me with bullshit facts. shipping LP's is not expensive. USPS went out of their way to make shipping intellectual property (music, manuscripts, text books, artwork, etc) cheap and affordable, hence media mail. $9 is practically double the cost. unless you're sending 10 pound bricks nothing should cost $9 to ship domestically unless you overnight it. you can pack things well and send them media mail for under $4 with delivery confirmation. 1 LP all packed up properly should weight just over 1 pound. and things are only worth what someone will pay for them not what the person selling them thinks they are worth. i hope you lose money on everything.
im reporting all your ebay listings because you're such a dick. 1 for excessive shipping and handling and 2 for stating a minimum slae price without using the reserve feature.
1) Oh I just noticed you have $9 as shipping. Which auction did you get $9 dollars shipping for because I cant find any of my auctions with domestic shipping of $9 dollars (obviously international might be $9 or more) so I guess I get to call bullshit on that claim. Also eBay (not me) calculates the shipping based on parcel post which is the only one of the ebay calculator options for 1 pound or more (First class has a 1pd limit http://www.usps.com/send/waystosendmail/senditwithintheus/firstclassmail.htm) outside of priority and express since media mail is not an option in the ebay shipping calculator (you obviously havent sold anything on ebay recently). The input for the calculator is 1pd 3 ounces (close to your admitted weight on your last post). A 15x13x3 box (what im using a rock solid way of shipping) is 1.75 probably more at UPS and FedEx. The amount of bubble wrap to fill the space is 1.25 likely more at USPS/UPS/FedEx. That is 3 dollars on packaging alone. but I am going of topic because as I said ebay calculates the shipping.
2)I never stated a minimum price in any of my auctions unless you mean the starting bid in which case you should read this (http://ebay.about.com/od/featuresguide/qt/fg_start.htm) (http://ebay.about.com/od/featuresguide/qt/fg_start.htm%29), so bullshit on your claim.
There is nothing left in your last post that I havent accounted for.
and things are only worth what someone will pay for them not what the person selling them thinks they are worth. In that case obviously the seller's job should try to influence the buyer because it is logical.
And if you believe this and people decide to pay 15 dollars for shipping (WHICH I AM NOT) then it would be allright because by your logic
and things are only worth what someone will pay for them not what the person selling them thinks they are worth.Final price is Final Price.
You know logic that thing that has to fit together like a puzzle.

this one. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...2803809 41143 the lame eater LP comes out to $9.08
further proof that youre full of shit; http://img529.imageshack.us/img529/5585/capturebim.jpg
it's against ebay's policies to influence the buyer without a reserve asshole. the link to popsike falls under that category. it will also fall under inappropriate links. media mail can be used in the shipping calculator, try again; and if you use the shipping calculator you can avoid the $4 shipping cap on media mail. theres no weight restriction on media mail and youre not using ebay's shipping calculator, it doesnt say so in the listing, try again. nothing you say will ever convince me or anyone for that matter that $9 is fair for shipping 1 LP. you can't charge for the gas it takes to get to the post office or your time. even with your packaging material being $3, shipping should still be under $9. you picked parcel post so you would get the most money, aside from media mail, priority mail is a flat rate, cheaper, and a faster shipping method. youre just ripping people off. no way around it. at least 1 person agrees with me. i dont see anyone standing up for you.
Exactly. You can easily just set a price for Media Mail shipping, it's pretty cheap no matter where you send it in the U.S. You don't need to use eBay's calculator for it. What you're doing is BS by ripping people off for shipping.
Exactly. You can easily just set a price for Media Mail shipping,
No You cant Look Here (http://img25.imageshack.us/img25/6639/73359662.jpg)its not a calculator option. The auction he posted is shipping worldwide (Look Here (http://img31.imageshack.us/img31/9647/17522728.jpg)) which means it should have a calculator because it cost more to ship things depending how far they are , see that when comparing Mexico (http://img406.imageshack.us/img406/756/47147095.jpg)to Japan (http://img6.imageshack.us/img6/4527/51681887.jpg) or the west coast (http://img19.imageshack.us/img19/4150/37476131.jpg) to farther states(here (http://img26.imageshack.us/img26/4293/65894436.jpg)), notice the trend the farther it ships the more you pay (and also the heavier the more) (Look Here (http://img39.imageshack.us/img39/696/51176443.jpg) 99 cents shipping, why because the farther it ships the more you pay (and also the heavier the more) ) , like when you drive the farther you go the more gas you pay.
But as I said I dont calculate the shipping eBay does and it does not have a media mail Option (http://img25.imageshack.us/img25/6639/73359662.jpg)
it's against ebay's policies to influence the buyer without a reserve asshole. If this was true they wouldnt allow you to have a customized listing like Amazon and Half doesnt. Are you sure youre not typing Amazon on your browser.
and if you use the shipping calculator you can avoid the $4 shipping cap on media mail. theres no weight restriction on media mail
WTFweight restrictions for media mail . http://www.usps.com/send/waystosendmail/senditwithintheus/mediamail.htm (75 lbs )
youre not using ebay's shipping calculator, it doesnt say so in the listing, try again. .
Are you retarded have you noticed the little zip code box, Can you guess what that litte zip code box does with your zip code. Have you tried different zip codes on it, did you notice how the number that comes out changes it sounds like a calculation to me. Heres the definition of a calculator (http://www.thefreedictionary.com/calculation)
But i think someone in this thread said it best- here-
things are only worth what someone will pay for them not what the person selling them thinks they are worth. (Dont expect harmony when you talk out of your ass and mouth at the same time)
When I wanted to buy an LP and was charged 8.99 for shipping I added it to the total price and thought if I still wanted it ,I ended up deciding I still wanted because I thought it was worth it becausethings are only worth what someone will pay for them not what the person selling them thinks they are worth.
If youre going to let S&H second guess if you wanted to buy any of my items you fit into two categories
a) You just dont really want the item.
b) You really want the item but dont have the money. In which case you should start peddling those stickers hard or stick to buying your music off the clearance bin at Wal-Mart and Hot Topic. .BTW what is the S&H on your stickers.
because
things are only worth what someone will pay for them not what the person selling them thinks they are worth.
quit trying to defend yourself. youre being an asshole, plain and simple. just owe up to your BS moves to get more money out of people. too bad the auction that guy posted was for US shipping, which was $9. you can set a price for media mail, you just chose to avoid it entirely by entering a custom weight asshole.
Did you see this link because it proves you wrong (Look Here No Media Mail) (http://img25.imageshack.us/img25/6639/73359662.jpg)
I have only defended myself with proof and logic except maybe for NJUNDERDOG's post which from the first two post have had a dick attitude.

man, this guy is a moron.
however, media mail should be there. did you list them under the right category?

No, chief. You're wrong. Just switch it over to Flat Rate and you'll see that Media Mail is available. Like the other guy said, you're just trying to avoid by using Custom Weight when it is completely unnecessary.

I see. but I would have to switch to flat rate with a $4 shipping cap . That means that given the amount of money used to package and the shipping I would take a dollar or two hit or possibly more with insurance if I could set it to 5.25 to break even I will switch over to that on new listings . Thank you for looking for that and being reasonable.
For the ones already listed I think NJUNDERDOG hit it in the head and made the whole S&H discussion null when he posted
things are only worth what someone will pay for them not what the person selling them thinks they are worth.
which means bidders who want the item will pay the shippingand other will fit into
a) They just dont really want the item.
b) They really want the item but dont have the money which if someone else wants it and does then there is nothing to be done about it.
how many times are you gonna quote the same fucking thing??? grow the fuck up.As Long as it relevant because its true especially in an auction setting were the price is set by the buyer, people will pay the total price that they think its worth. If one doesnt think the item is worth the total with shipping they wont bid. They might see the auction and think the starting price is low now let me add shipping and then decide (is this worth this much money to me) then they will decide if they will bid based on how much they think its worth and how much it currently is total, then maybe someone else decides its worth more and puts a higher bid and the original person then decides its not worth it for them. An auction.
