that pretty much sums it up.

Arroyo signed a contract that his agent told him not to sign. There was not a no trade clause given to arroyo, so he knew it was a possibility.

uhhh this was actually a good deal for the sox. they got a cheap, 24 year old power hitting OF to complement Trot Nixon since he can't hit lefties. They gave up a good guy and a decent pitcher, but he was expendable. That's the business of baseball.

uhhh he may be a douchebag, but it doesn't get much better than him in terms of a #4 starter. He's virtually a lock as a 15 game winner.

what are these bush league moves you speak of? Trot Nixon would start every game if he could stay healthy all year or if he could hit lefties, but he cant seem to do either so a platoon is needed.

I don’t mean to jump on you more, but you cant just say they should of traded this guy or that guy. both teams have to come to a deal, and Cincy picking up Wells makes no sense. His contract is full of incentives which he will probably hit, and he has about a year left in the tank. Bronson is younger, cheaper over time, and under contract for 3 years or something around that. He is a pitcher they can use to rebuild (if they ever do) their team with. I think it was a semi good deal for the Reds. I don’t know if giving up Pena made total sense, but if they wanted cheap young pitching, they have to give something up.
