View Full Version : Reasons Why Adam Vinatieri Will Regret Leaving

1.He does not need the contract he is getting from The Colts. In the long run, he would make more money in New England making commercials for Papa Ginos and other businesses.

2.The Colts will surprise everyone by having a lackluster season. James is more important to the team than people realize.

3.The Patriots will still have a good year. Yes, they have lost a lot of their team, but it is mostly old guys at the ends of their careers. The system is the reason we win.

4.He'll get a lot less respect there than he will here. He is a sports icon in New England and a kicker is not going to carry that with him to a team he hasn't done shit for yet.

If you move this to the Sports Forum or make eye contact with me I will smack you.

i dont see why he would regret leaving. He already has 3 rings, he made is pretty clear that he was after the money, and now he gets to play at least half his games kicking in a dome.

Start making Sports threads in the sports forums. the generals are cluttered enough with stupid shit, and if you want to talk sports, do it over here...this is a great community and we want to see this part grow more, so bring it over

A) I was joking around.

B) What the fuck does that have to do with Finch?

1. fuck the long run. why make the money doing local commercials if you can get it now?

2. the colts won't be unbeatable, but they'll still win their division and be a good team.

3. dolphins are taking the division. wildcards in the afc are hard to come by. would not surprise anybody if the pats aren't in the playoffs next year.

4. he's replacing a kicker who everybody hated. on a team that he's been lethal against. he'll be bringing plenty of respect with him.

Why? With the passing game, any RB can go in there and get 1200-1300 yards.

And take a look at a 3 game stretch in 03 when James didn't play a down. Manning had one of his best 3 game stretches ever: the 6 TD game against New Orleans on Sunday night football, the huge comeback in Tampa Bay on MNF, and he led a game tying TD drive to force OT against Carolina (but the shitty D lost it in OT). They'll be fine without Edge, especially if they draft Maroney.

they need him, and the colts now have peyton manning, a top notch defense and a supreme kicking game

THANK YOU!

As long as they have a semi-reliable running back, they'll still be fine. And even if they don't, Peyton can still burn most defenses with Wayne and Harrison.

are you serious? yeah, he kicked game winning field goals for them. cool. but he wasn't kicking 85 yard field goals. someone drove the team down the field to even give him a remote opportunity to win the game. he's more liked, and possibley more valuable, than any patriot not named tom brady.

The RB's catching the screen passes drove them down the field

No, he made 3-5 yard throws that we could make in a game.

so, let me guess, brady's overrated?

if that's what you're trying to get at, that jumps to the top of the list of asanine shit that comes out of that brain of yours.

and that's a long fucking list.

Considering he's rated as high as some of the best ever, of course he's overrated. As for all QB's with 3+ SB rings, he's the most overrated.

The Bengals will be good.

The Steelers will be good.

The Browns have a shot at being good.

I'm still excited we won The Super Bowl, it really made me happy to see. It could possibly be a twice in a life time thing. I'll always remember the day they won it the first time, since I've been alive.

He gets to play @ least 9 games a year in a dome...8 in indy, 1 in houston. can't beat that for a kicker's stats.

Wrong. A good running game creates great passing, not the other way around. If what you say is true the JJ Arrington would have been all pro last year.

Wow, you must know nothing about football.

Some teams run to set up the pass
Some teams pass to set up the run

It's that simple

They set up each other. It just depends on how teams decide to go about it it.
