this is one i've been working on for awhile. it's different from my usual but i like it alot. your thoughts?

My faith is rationed like these breaths
And misguided like these steps
I fall into, i fall too quickly

And I measure love by how deep it cuts
When it sings sweetly but seeks to break my trust

But I’m convinced betrayal isn’t the sickness just a symptom
When any action can be reasoned
Through ignorance and false conviction
So how deep in can this knife be driven?
We’re about to know

Their knives are aimed toward my back
They smile through teeth that are set to attack
They’re set to bite back
With tongues strangled by pride
I fall victim to their lies

There’s blood in the tracks from the knives in the backs
I followed the footprints left behind to something beautiful

Is treason so sweet? We give in, we give in

Some parts seem to me to be a little cliche, but overall, I like it.
