The only time i felt that it was okay to be stopped was when i was skating on private federal property. We left promptly when told about that.

Yea i've been trying to keep it active. The music forum has been boring me a lot lately...that's why I randomly joined another few forum sites over the past week.

That video was sweet, you're all a lot better than me lol. I don't have any footage personally.

And yea it's my favorite video...my favorite team, great music, great tricks. Definitely one of those you can keep re-watching.

Yea, I mean in the summer it's 95-105 every day (with low humidity, 0% to 20%), but it's skateable. It's one of the best places to live year around, 90% of the winter consists of sunny days of 60-70 degree days.

I've seen the 'Full Flared' intro which is awesome, so I'll definitely be checking that out when I get the chance. Although I may DL it (if I can find it). I found DVS - 'Skate more', Flip - 'Sorry', and Fallen - 'Ride the Sky' on this one site lol, although I don't really like doing that since I like supporting teams.

this is definitely true. chris cole seriously scrapes at every competiton, maloof, wallenburg, etc. but i think batb will seriously go to CK (Cory Kennedy (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZYAqLTIc7i4)) that kid shreds so hard, he's definitely the next gen in skateboarding. that sw big flip and nollie fs 360 heel was vicious.

It's not the trick, it's just this/similar rails. Skinny, and not that heavy so it moves a bit when you hit it.

I just found one in my September 2002 issue:

Backside Disasters with Chad Bartie.

1. When rolling up the ramp, start turning your shoulders backside before you reach the lip---this gives you a head start.
2. Look at the coping for a reference point.
3. Start your ollie. Do it like you would a backside 180.
4. Now concentrate on getting your back wheels on the other side of the coping.
5. You want to land in the middle of the board and keep your waight leaning into the ramp.
6. Now you're in the back-lip position.
7. Push down on your front foot and lean back into the ramp.
8. Center your weight.
9 Ride it out!

I haven't skated in 4 and a half years. I've been missing it so much lately.

So yesterday I went to the skate shop and picked up an Alien Workshop deck with Tensor trucks and the shop's brand of wheels. I've still got some of my skill, meaning I can still ollie, fs 180, and kickflip (not even close to consistently, but i landed the first one i attempted). I've still got a ways to go to get back to where I was when I quit, but it feels good being back on the board.

And my favorite skater has to be Steve Berra. His part in Skate More blew my mind when I was 12 and it still blows my mind.
And my favorite overall skate video is Blind What If? First deck I ever rode was blind. Not bad by any means but not a great deck, but they have (had?) one hell of a team (not sure who's still on it, I've been out of the loop for so fucking long). Corey Sheppard's part is how I discovered Bloc Party

One of my biggest regrets was quitting. It was sort of natural. I moved, and at the school i went to skateboarding was a huge thing and at the school i moved to it wasnt at all. So I got sick of doing it alone and didn't know what I wanted out of it anymore and I broke my board and just decided not to get a new one.

Maybe I'm getting back into it purely because of nostalgia, but I've been missing the hell out of it for the past few years. Doing it alone doesn't really bother me like it used to, I can still have a good time riding alone with my ipod in.

just to help clarify, they all joined Street League, Sheckler too. They are allowed them to compete in 2 non-SL events in 2010. All of those skaters competed in Dew Tour and something else I believe, while Sheckler only competed in one non-SL event and therefore can participate in X-Games as his second event.

Street League is gonna be epic. Pudwill is gonna kill it. I hope Dyrdek and Berra get to compete as well.

X-Games Street is eventually going to become a newcomer/amateur showdown, unless they partner with Street League

Mine cost me like $22 i'm pretty sure. It's decently long though, and has some good footage. Lots of stairs and gaps...probably like 2 vert scenes.

I loved the shape and the pop of the one enjoi deck that i bought recently, but i snapped the deck after about a week and had to replace it. The whole tail snapped off. Might not of had anything to do with the board though, i think it was just the way i landed.

Yeah he did. I really thought Chris Cole should have won, because i felt like he landed the most difficult tricks throughout. I really don't like the way the scoring system is set up in Street League because it rewards you for skating cautiously and consistantly. I'd rather see people skate more recklessly and go big...i think most people would.

See, that was a big issue this time. Nyjah didn't stomp everything big back to back, but Malto really never fell. It's weird. I think a few kinks will be worked out with it next year.

Yeah, i mean Malto is obviously very good and very consistant but he never went out of his comfort zone. Nyjah, chris cole, and chaz ortiz hit wayyy bigger tricks, but weren't as consistant. Dyrdek says his scoring system is supposed to heavily reward those who go big...but in the end, i feel like it does exactly the opposite. Jam style sessions/contests are the way to go, i think.
