View Full Version : Really good Love Songs?

My fiancee and I keep throwing around ideas for the song that we will dance to in our wedding reception, the song that will forever be "our" song. I guess it always has been "Hands Down" by DC but that was yearsss ago and things have changed. Any ideas for a good, slow love song? She likes a couple of songs from Razia's Shadow which would be alright except some of the lyrics obviously don't match up. I am really liking "Pistol" by Dustin Kensrue but I figured I'd ask around. There's so much I don't know about. Go!

Love songs depress me.
But I think a great wedding song would be 'Last Request' by Paolo Nutini. The lyrics aren't happily ever after, but it's still such a great song.

I don't really think too much about the band but
"Your Guardian Angel" by Red Jumpsuit Apparatus is completely awesome.
I mean. Just read those lyrics. (http://www.songmeanings.net/songs/view/3530822107858593895/)

Ha! I win!
If you could find an all acoustic version, it would probably be better for the occasion.

Umm.. 311 - Love Song xD
but seriously, Jack Johnson - Angel.. I think it's called Angel. It's a 2 minute song and it's just a really good song for a wedding dance type thing

I've always liked I want to know your plans by say anything, but that's probably not fitting for a wedding song.
Passenger Seat is a beautiful slow death cab song, very simple. And the obvious choice from Razia's would be Its True Love.

Aww, how cute. I don't really have any suggestions though. All I know is that when I get married my requirement is that the song must be something by Butch Walker.

Thanks! That song made me love George Harrison even more haha . . .
oh and I forgot; Cherish -The Association. Possibly kind of corny and dated, but I can't help but "awww" at it.
