You shouldn't support an action just because the target has been demonized, especially by someone who has quite a bit of bias on the issue. I mean, I'm sure Blair doesn't have an agenda with that statement.... PROPAGANDA!

For example, we see Hitler as the big villain of WW2, and I am in no way defending him, but Stalin killed more than double what Hitler did, using similar methods. And he didn't just kill Jews, it was anyone who opposed him. But he was on our side so it's OK. No history books call Stalin a psychopath or the epitome of evil.

It's fairly well known that Stalin was pure evil. History books don't make such a big deal about it for some reason; I'm not sure why. Maybe the history books are just written by liberals who want to try communism again. "Communism has only killed 100 million people, give it another chance"!

Communism doesnt kill people, ruthless dictators kill people. It can't work though.... but I'm all for socialism.

Besides, Russia was better off COmmunist. Its population is suffering in poverty now, and Moscow is one of the most dangerous cities in the world. Back then, Moscow was amongst the world's safest cities, and Russia was a superpower.

Russia Better off under communisum, your joking right? I wonder why the streets were safer under communism, can you say "brutal repressive government?" Can you just admagine what punishment must have been like under the KGB? Gulogs?

Also if you study history you'll find out that russia has always been in a state of poverty when compared to what western standards are. And it was probably much worse under the soviet regime, at least now people have choice and the ability to control there own lives.

Actully hitler didn't kill only jews. the holocaust also involed the murders of slavs, gypsies, jehovas witnesses, catholics, racial minorities, the disabled, and communists.
I'm not sure what history books your reading but in evry one I have read he has been portrayed as a psychopath, and a very evil man.

All these people saying how cruel we are to go into Iraq and liberate these people are crazy. There will be deaths associated with the war, but it will ultimately save thousads of lives from terrible deaths like the ones listed in the above link.
