View Full Version : Artist You Would Like To See A Solo Project From

Feenucks

Which member of a band would you like to see do a solo project?

This may sound weird...but I'd love to see Patrick Stump to a solo project. I think just him and an acoustic guitar would be pretty incredible. It would also be interesting to hear some lyrics actually written by Stump (since it's fairly common knowledge that Pete Wentz writes most of the lyrics for Fall Out Boy).

Cody Bonnette (As Cities Burn) - Looks like he's going to be having a solo career now, so that's sweet.

stump would make the weirdest but most incredible record ever. i mean if you look a fob's last record, there are tone of crazy influences in there from blues to even a little bit of ragtime. i think if he was able to write songs that didn't have to be poppy for fall out boy, it'd be incredible.

I would love to hear Jason Vena do anything.

Also, Sal Bossio from Envy on the Coast. I really enjoy his voice, but he's a bit overshadowed by Ryan and doesn't sing as much as I'd like to hear.

I'd like to see Jack from Bayside do some solo stuff. He's a great guitar player, and provides nice backups which shows he's got some sort of voice. I'd like to hear what he would write on his own.

I'd like to also see Mike Einzinger from Incubus do some stuff by himself. He writes some fantastic music with them, and I think people are so used to Brandon Boyd's lyrical style and delivery of it, that if he were to do something by himself it would be interesting for sure.

If he doesn't already do this, which I'm not sure about, I'd like to hear some solo stuff from Kenny Bridges from .moneen. I think it'd be great stuff.

Wait, did you click the link i just posted or not?
Haha, this is confusing. Yes i did . I saw the AOL sessions version. While I appreciate their effort, I still did not really enjoy the song. But I did appreciate your effort.

Jesse Lacey already has his own solo project, it's called Brand New

and Vinnie Caruana or Tim Mcilrath

Two of my favorite vocalists.
Haha, Brand New isn't Lacey anymore though. There's a bit of Vinnie involved ever since TDAGARIM.

I am very hopeful he does, though I must say, Pete's solo work has been fantastic. Have you heard Grace/Wastelands?
Still haven't. I want to, especially considering Graham Coxon is supposed to have played guitar on it.

He does! I wrote a review of the album for Dion's blog, thedecomposedblog.wordpress.com, so you should read that...

And Coxon's soloing on "Palace Of Bone" is sweet as shit.
