i agree that McTernan is a good producer...i'm just skeptical at this point. overall, im looking forward to hearing SF's new stuff.
but i think they should bring back Naclerio...he was good on their EP.

Ya he might be on fire but after The Note by bane I'm surprised he can get any work.

Hes done good: Thrice, Movielife (I can't believe no one mentioned them!), Fairweather, etc
But also bad: Don't Look Down. That record was awful. I also wasnt such a fan of Moments In Grace.
PS - I miss Mason Bleek

i like this band, i just have a feeling this next album is going to suck pretty hard. and it won't be mcternan's fault.

What was that video of them doing then, that was posted here like 2 months ago?

I feel as though Steve Evetts probably would have been a better choice.

Im not going to outright bash but the last time I listened to the EP ( 3 Years ago) I remember the production being awful.

yeah, i'm pretty sure McTernan's resume includes more than just Circa. Not only that, but much more influential and tide-changing bands than Circa. He produced Cave In's "Jupiter" for crying out loud. Just because you like Circa more than any other band he's produced doesn't mean you shouldn't include his production strongpoints. People who want to know what kind of stuff he's been involved with will get a very small idea from just listing Circa Survive. It's like listing Ross Robinson with only Slipknot as his resume.

um
pretty much actually.
and whats with robinson getting all these awesome projects?
i mean he did fftl (which i liked. just miss the old sound... perhaps 3rd time they will get it dead on) hes interested in AFS and hes now doing norma jeans follow up to O god the aftermath.
maybe i should just lay off the crack

i liked american death a lot and their guitar work and vocals have gotten a lot tighter. i believe the sound of this album is going to be a lot different from their older stuff. can't wait.
buddy did say, during their last show of 2005, that they were going to record right after the STD/SF tour. I guess maybe they decided to scratch some of their old work or they just got lazy and took a break.

yeah, but those are not as recent, his style and sound has changed over the year's, so for a recent pick, mine is circa. deal wiht it already, yeesh!

kids will bitch about ANYTHING these days
Since day one i have despiiiiiised this band. i met them at Chain Reaction 3 years ago and they were the huuugest assholes to everyone i was with they met. I guess its fine though for them to release another record, more for us to take craps on. (fart)
frankly i'd rather watch my grandmother fellate a llama than hear anything else from this band. their ep was tolerable, but the album is grounds for explusion from music forever. what's even worse is they even tried to bring an amazing musician down with them (heath sareceno).
oh, and i think it was maDIson bleek, and yeah, i miss him too. there was another guy too but i cant remember his name, which is sad because these guys were posting stuff like maybe 8 months ago.
