The Applseed Cast - Low Level Owl
i guess they did that for the instruments on the cd? even though they weren't recorded live. sounds bad anyway :( .
Yeah, they only used the basics (guitars, drums, bass) and a keyboard with a synth on the side. Everything else was backtrack, which the majority of that album is other instruments anyways. It got pretty annoying, you could hear the quality of the backtrack get interupted with the live quality of everything else and it was just stupid, i was so dissapointed.
Except the missing piece was really good live.

Impossible:
Pink Floyd - 'The Wall'
Pink Floyd - 'The Dark Side of the Moon'
Pink Floyd - 'Wish You Were Here'
Pink Floyd - 'Animals'
Pink Floyd - 'Echoes'
Pink Floyd - 'The Piper at the Gates of Dawn'
Pink Floyd - 'Atom Heart Mother'
I've seen 'The Wall' performed by The Australian Pink Floyd Show, which was great - but not the same.
Possible:
Thursday - 'Full Collapse'
Godspeed You! Black Emperor - 'F#A#∞' [Original release version preferred]
Brand New - 'The Devil and God are Raging Inside Me'
The Smashing Pumpkins - 'Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness'
Possible, honorable mentions:
Explosions in the Sky - 'Those Who Tell the Truth Shall Die, Those Who Tell the Truth Shall Live Forever'
The Receiving End of Sirens - 'Between the Heart and the Synapse'
The Smashing Pumpkins - 'Siamese Dream'
Thursday - 'Waiting'
Mogwai - 'Young Team'

Both of these would be absolutely incredible...but as much as I like The Wall, I personally prefer The Division Bell.
'The Wall' is absolutely genious though, in ever aspect. And is meant to be theatrical - perfect for a large scale performance (as executed in the early '80s).
