Does anyone know why all of the Java Jazz shows are moving to the Meridian? I went to the Scream The Prayer Tour and it got moved to the Meridian after waiting in line for a few hours at Java Jazz. I heard through the grapevine that it was moveed because of fire codes at Java Jazz. I went to the Meridian website and a ton of Java Jazz shows have been moved to the Meridian. Does anyone know what the deal is?

All I remember hearing was that Java Jazz was shut down by the fire marshall the night before the Lets Make A Mess Tour, so I think that's what caused the continuing shows to be changed. So yep, fire codes is probably right.

I think Java Jazz needs a venue thats not located within a strip center.

javajazz and meridian have joined forces. that is all. some shows will be moved to numbers for now, but the meridian + javajazz have merged as a business.

who gives a shit, though? javajazz is terrible and there's no bar.

The new Javajazz location was so shitty, and I'm sick of that place. I went to their after warped 4th of July show with a secret lineup. I don't see how "The smallest bands have sold out the club regularly!!!" translates into three shitty local bands, Dr. Acula, Emmure, some idiotic white rapper, Attack Attack!, Breathe Caroline, and A Day To Remember. Worst show I've ever been to.
