Has anyone else caught this show? It's either the greatest thing I have ever seen or an absolute trainwreck, I haven't been able to decide yet.

will someone explain the premise to me? I'm still trying to figure out if it's real. Everyone looks like actors.

Haven't gotten a chance to check this out yet but I thought the previews looked pretty interesting.

Ok so Discovery channel has put together a huge compound in L.A. and made it seem like there has been a nuclear/chemical disaster and everyone else in the world is dead, or are all f'd up. Think Fallout 3 for the most part, it all looks very post apocalyptic, then they stuck this group of people in the compound and each has a specific skill, like one is a doctor, one is an engineer and so on, so basically they have to live in isolation and survive on whatever they can find in the compound which includes an abandoned wharehouse, an old department store, and a few other buildings, all of the buildings have been pretty looted/picked over already.

Idk the video above is a preview for it that describes it better.

Ya, definitely, plus all the "marauders" and everyone else are super over the top and obviously actors.

The show is stupid, I could do a better job post apocalyptic then these people. The raiders and shit of COURSE are actors, but the people as the main characters don't seem genuine at all.

Well of course, if its capitalized it must be true. You are right though, they even tell that in the show, they just need to tone down the over the topness, and make it less obvious.

Like the scene where the raiders are running through smashing their food and making a ton of noise, pretty sure a Raider would have been a little more stealthy then that to try and steal the food.
