im going to preface this by saying im a huge fall out boy fan and have seen them previously in tiny venues (trees) and large ones (smirnoff ampitheatre)

the hush sound- i had never heard them before and i didnt get much of a chance to thanks to the face that most of the pit could not hear the vox very well. what i could glisten was that they were a pretty good little pop band.

from first to last- i didnt hate this band until i saw them live. there is a point in your career as a 'rock star' where people will enjoy having you throw water on them. from first to last has not reached this point. when no one is moving around for you, no one's getting hot. music wise, this band seemed pretty tight and they all had great stage presence, minus the water throwing.

hawthorne heights- i really really really dislike this band. having said that, their live show was of suprising quality. i walked by their set at warped this year and they were horrible, so it seems theyve done some work.

all american rejects- my only complaint is that they didnt play enough off of their old album. other than that, they sounded great and had great personality on stage. bonus points for shouting out chuck norris and having a sexy picture of him on the drumset

fall out boy- way way better this time than other times i have seen them. great song selection, great showmanship, and they sounded decent musically. i was a bit pissed because, unlike alot of people on this site, i enjoy petes banter, but i couldnt understand it thanks to fact that i was in the pit.

other- this was the first time i had seen commercials at a concert. it disgusted me
i saw a shirt that said 'Pete Who? Im Here For Andy'...how about being here for the fucking music...
i had no idea so many people actually liked hawthorne heights
girl to guy ratio- at least 5>1...percentage of those girls out of high school...id say about .5%
fuck nokia theater for charging 7 dollars for a bottle of beer

Thanks for the review. What did the Rejects play from their debut? Anything besides Swing Swing and My Paper Heart?

Tree's isnt a small venue its a midsized venue for established touring bands, The Tea Room and the various other small clubs around town are the small sized, but yeah that is the smallest of the three places you have seen fob.

And the sound was good at nokia while you were in the pit?

Then it must have been fucking amazing if you had a seat, that place is designed to be able to hold a conversation in the pit and not be effected by the band/play/opera going on, on stage

I saw the dashboard/brand new show there a long time ago and found out the hard way, could barely hear anything while dashboard was playing cause the sound was above everyones heads.

from what i recall, those might be the only two songs the rejects played from the debut

the insturments sounded ok in the pit, but anything anyone said while onstage sounded kind of like the adults in peanuts cartoons

also, that dashboard/bn show was kickass...except for vendetta red

About 2 months ago, all the shows got moved to either Gypsy or the Granada, and it was in the paper that it was sold. :\
