yeah, i catch a lot of slack for those bands...but i am a sucker for synth-core and HH really isnt that bad as everyone makes them out to be..."cut my wrists and black my eyes" still makes me wonder though...

Not sure if it has occurred to most of the people in this thread, but the reason people 'loathe' these bands you 'love' is because they write some of the worst music on the planet. Some people just have what is known as 'taste'. Unfortunately this is not something that can be easily learned when you are 15 and love scene music. Just wait it out, you still have a chance to turn out OK.

The Fall of Troy seems to get a lot of hate from people, but they are one of my favorite bands.

Panic! at the Disco, Fall Out Boy. Someone said earlier that a lot of people don't like Meg & Dia, but I've never heard anyone say they hate them. Some of my friends say they're boring but they don't "loathe" them. Anyway, I love Meg & Dia. Really good pop.

Haha, I would never say that, but I have tried to argue Hayley's strength as a vocalists in the rock world in several conversations, and most people just dismiss Paramore completely, then make fun of me for defending them.

Yeah, that's what got my friend hooked on 3OH!3. She saw them on AP Tour and said that their live show was just so energetic it was hard not to get hooked. Though she definitely didn't feel that way about FF5.
