I was only 4 or 5 when Owen died and I wasn't a huge wrestling fan at the time, so I'll vote for Brett just because I knew him better.

brett was a dick but backed it up...owen was like a red-headed step child, you just felt bad and ignored him, still an awesome wrestler though

I vote for Bret. Although I loved The Blue Blazer, even if it led to the death of Owen.

Nugget!
Though Bret was still better in every facet. Plus he was never teamed up with Jeff Jarrett.

sweet chin music baby.
Owen Hart. He had way more character than Brett Hart. Owen was so badass, he was in the Nation of Domination.
The best there is, the best there was, and the best there ever will be.

I always was a Brett Hart fan since I was younger. But right before Owen passed away he was becoming funny and awesome.

I love the entire Hart family. Wasn't Bret supposed to go back to WWE or some crap?

i thought owen was gonna be great once bret left and owen was free to be himself, but tragically his career and life were cut short before that could happen.

in the grand scheme of things...
Bret and Owen Hart>current WWE lineup will ever be
give me the good old days again, when vince was just a commentator, the undertaker was scary, shawn michaels jumped off houses on a zipline and Bret Hart was The Best There Is...

haha seriously, Vince was actually a good commentator when he and lawler did everything. I think their biggest problem right now is that there are too many PPVs. Wrestlemania isn't even that big of a deal anymore because storylines can't even develop enough for me to care about a match. Back in the day they used to have storylines that went on for a year. Now they're lucky if they get one month to develop.

blame in your house for that
back in the day (lol) they had what? royal rumble, wrestlemania, king of the ring, survivor series and MAYBE one here and there.
then vince wanted more $$$, added in your house for every other month, and behold- the slow decline of WWE.

Yeah IYH and the brand separation have killed them but Vince is too stubborn to realize he made a mistake. The stars they've tried to develop just don't have the charisma that Hogan, Hart, Warrior, old HBK, Rock, Austin had. That's why they put HHH in every main event bc he's the only superstar left. Also, there's no characters anymore. Everyone just uses a regular name which also takes away from the enjoyment.

the era of names was a WCW thing, and look where that got them.

Yeah HHH is the only good thing they really hahve right now. I think the end of the run came after Wrestlemania 17 when Austin turned on the Rock. That's when they kinda lost interest in the business and went on to other things. It was also the last time that they did something that no one expected lol. Every main event is so predictable these days. And they keep bringing back people in their 50s who've retired several times, they just can't develop new talent anymore.

they really need to bring back the old steel cage where people used to always climb out to win. brett and owen had an awesome cage match at summerslam one year. the new cage is pretty much worthless if all you have to do is go out the door...

I saw a DVD of the best matches of ECW. It had the WWE logo. I cried a little. I would have bought it though, but it was like...35 bucks or something. 9 matches I think.
