Faraway (http://www.myspace.com/faraway) has entered the studio with producer Mike Poorman (http://www.strangewaysrecording.com) to begin work on their eight song EP and will be there until April 10th. In the meantime, they have turned their website (http://www.faraway-band.com) into a studio journal which they will be updating with pictures, videos, and updates.

Matt Squire was working with them during pre production of the album. Now that pre production is over and they are tracking its all Mike Poorman, which isnt a bad thing at all. This EP is going to suprise a lot of people if they give them a chance.

They're my hometown heroes (check my avatar). The EP should be awesome.

just to clear up any confusion...matt and i were not doing this as a joint project. matt had offered to give some initial feedback on the bands demos early on. all of the pre-production and recording were and are being done at my studio in vermont. sorry for the mix up.

Far, Far-Less and Faraway.

Can people stop making bands beginning with "Far" now before I get totally confused between the three? Thanks.

Are you being serious? Besides you missed, Far From Hereos, Far From, Farsighted. And what about all the bands like Fell Far From, Few and Far Between, and others with the word Far in it. And do the ones that have farewell in their names confuse you to because the word far is in there.

And do bands that start with "The" confuse you as well? The Beatles, The Doors, The Strokes, The Kinks, The Byrds, etc.

or what about bands that start with "A"? A Thorn For Every Heart, A Step Behind, A Second Chance (RIP), etc.

Just curious because you would make a great case study.
